The Tooth fairy doesn't give out money. She gives out loans. And it's time to collect.

Holy, that line got me XD

The only unrealistic part is that the dad actually kept track, and didn’t just arbitrarily confiscate all of his money because “I’m your dad and you owe me.”

Normal YouTube: can't make an ad without breaking character

Zach: hold my star

"Are you doing an ad?"
"No. A favor."

Still the only channel I'll watch the advertisements in full.

"Can we talk about how you had all these ready to go?"

Son, you know I'm an accountant.

I wasn't the one that needed to be driven to imagine hearing that one day 🙂

First job, my father had the bright idea to pull that one at the checkout in the local ALDI (we were there because he needed cigarettes, beer and whiskey) . I asked him if that would happen again, his answer: “Im your father and you owe me.” Next day I quit my “first job” again stating to my parents that I want to commit fully to studying. When the summer holiday started and my dad told me he had a job for me, I took a job at the local pc hardware store. The owner was happy to pay me in hardware and games instead of cash. The look of impotent rage combined with confusion and grudging respect on my fathers face is a treasured memory. I kept that job until university. The moment I moved out, I switched to cash.
Before anyone calls me ungrateful, I always helped my mum out financially and intend to keep doing so in the future. She always helped me in achieving my goals.

I can't decide if I love or hate the fact that his integrations are so well done you can't even fast forward through them.

My parents literally used to do this. It's how they justified taking my money. I got good at hiding my money after I got my first job at age 11 years in 1981. (I cleaned up parking lots in an industrial part of town for local businesses). Unfortunately, they started charging me "rent" after I got my first steady job at age 15. After I got my driver's permit, I figured out that grocery stores will cash a payroll check with proper ID, so I wasn't dependent on my parents to cash my checks at the bank. That's when the "rent" bills started materializing.

My parents were actually super chill on this, basically lived like a kid until my late twenties under the logic that " the more I saved, the sooner I could move out for real ". Worked two Jobs for a couple of years and bought my own appartment, so I guess their little gambit paid off.

To some, this is a funny skit. To others, it's a flash back and an itemized list would have been an improvement.

No wonder so many people refuse to work and have no concept of managing money.

As a kid I once complained to my mom that I didn't get paid for doing chores. She said if she started paying me for chores I'd have to pay her for rent and food. She then pulled out a big chart of all the prices for amenities (meals, tv, videogames, etc) and the pay for different chores. I quickly declined. One of my older siblings commented that I should've taken the offer because she did and ended up doing so many chores mom terminated the deal because she was running out of money. (That's also why there was already a chart written up that my mom had saved lol.)

Now that I'm older I'm kicking myself for not agreeing because, looking back on it, I could've made hundreds of dollars to save up and use as an adult. Or even just to pimp out my childhood. Her prices were very in favor of the child. (Plus I was a picky eater so being able to just buy which food I wanted would've made meal times so much easier.)

Man! That dad was harsh! He had all the bills ready to hand off.👍🤣

Parents: Not everything is going to be equal all the time, that is how it goes. When you complain because your brother got a little bit more Mountain Dew than you, expecting me to break out the measuring cups, I might take all the Mountain Dew and drink it myself. I am your dad, not a referee.

Also Parents: If I do not nickle and dime you for every little thing that I have ever done for you, including many things that you did not ask and did not want me to do, you will never learn anything.

Yep. Same with high school fees, college and medical bills even before I was 18. Sucks ass. Now I'm 23 in debt without a degree.
