I like the fact that they are still made and assembled in Japan to this day!

This is perhaps the most thorough, honest, professional review of a single make/model vehicle I've ever seen from a source that specializes in it. Thank you for taking the time out to share your professional opinion based on your years of experience.

Dude I'm out here shopping for a used 5th gen 4runner with a clean frame and informative videos like this are not making the quest any easier for me. Please stop telling everyone.

I have a 2004 4Runner Sport with a 4.7-liter V8. I have never had a single issue with it. I just keep the oil changed and stay up to date on scheduled maintenance. My best advice for anyone in the market for a 4Runner is to make sure to get the color and all the options that you want because you are going to be driving that vehicle every day - even 20 years from now.

I don't leave many comments but this is truly the best and most informative video on this god-forsaken platform.
You were clear, organized, thorough, honest and and a pleasure to list to.
Kudos. I wish you could get some sort of reward for this video alone.

I have a 2010 4Runner I use for work and it has over 350k miles. It's never left me stranded, and almost nothing ever breaks on it. Easily the best vehicle I've ever heard of.
The funny thing is with the used market the way it is, I could probably sell it for more than I paid for it brand new 🤣

I had a1998 4Runner for 17 years and i only replaced the starter and went through a few batteries THATS IT!!!! Best vehicle I ever owned. Beyond reliable. It helped me raise up my children without having a worry about any unexpected expensive repairs. It started every single day. I ended up giving it to my daughter when she got old enough to drive and she drove it for few years before it hit into an accident and she just got rid of it but it still started every day for her too. I can not say enough about the 4Runner. I

I watch a lot of videos before I even go see a car for purchase at a dealer. This is the best review of any car I have ever seen.

After owning 4 other Toyota models, i purchased a sr5 in 2015. I take it for service by the book and have never had any problems. There's not even a rattle or interior noise anywhere. This is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. I will keep it forever.
Thanks for a great evaluation on the 4 runner, and a good reminder to engage the 4 wheel drive once a month.

I watched your entire series on the 4Runner, and I really learned a lot about the vehicle...the real important stuff that a potential buyer appreciates knowing. Many thanks for taking the time and effort to make this video series on the 4Runner. I have been on the fence in terms of choosing the current 5th generation 4Runner or waiting for the 6th generation. After watching your videos, I believe the 5th generation would be a goodr fit for my needs. Again, thank you for providing the informative and detailed information on the 4Runner - great series!

I think now is a great time to buy these later 5th gens because it’s basically the peak of QC and updates, vs immediately buying the first of the 6th Gen which may come with problems off the bat like some people are having with the newer Tundras with recalls and stuff.

2011 4Runner limited here with 200K miles and no major issues. Worst thing that's ever happened is the neutral safety switch went bad causing the 4Lo light to blink and gear shifter to become stiff. A fairly common problem. $130 part and $90 of labor to have my local guy put it on and problem solved. Love this car and plan to keep it another 100K miles.
