The Toyota Corolla Cross is a breathe of Fresh Air. It is a return to basics. Something that Toyota does very very well is make sensible day to day cars that just keep going. And this one really delivers that very well.

I’ve had my Corolla cross for 6 months now and it’s an excellent car, high quality, and comfortable. I disagree with your opinion that the engine is hopelessly slow. I find I have no problem around town, it’s adequate. As for highway, I also have had no issues with merging or passing. I know this is subjective. But just wanted to give you my two cents owning this car for 6 months and used in various situations.

I got one in late December. Very hard to find anything reasonable at that point but so far this the the best most functional working vehicle I've ever owned. Couldn't be happier.

i have a corolla cross with 2.0 engine. i use extreme driving style to get 5.0L/100km, which is 47MPG. i never go over 100km/h, seldom let the engine go over 2500rpm when accelerating and hyper mill when ever possible. so l smile when i see the gas pump, and its a different kind of fun to squeeze for MPG.

We’ve had ours for a month n half now and love it, if you are a speed freak don’t buy it. If you want a comfortable ride, quiet, built like a tank quality and great fuel mileage buy it. We get from 30-35 mpg already at 2, 600 miles. We got xle and enjoy everything about. Thanks for the review

Love BASIC! No frills just a vehicle to get ya from a to b, reliably. (Key word there.) The more computerized thingy-ma-giggy, the more expensive to fix when it doesn't work. I think the abstract etching looks like a CH-R too.

Toyota never disappoints! My first car was a 1965 VW bug. It was really slow but it was very reliable and I loved it. It was basic transportation just like the Corolla Cross. Hey! Even Scotty said he would buy this vehicle when his own Toyota wears out.
