1. To dedicate yourself to reading 3~5 pages EVERY DAY.
2. To reread the pages of the day 2 or 3 times, making sure that you get the gist.
3. To highlight 2 types of words.
(1.) New Words:
To look up their meanings, and write down translations in your native language.
(2.) Unknown Words:
Words that you assume you might understand because of the context. Or words you've seen but not familiar with.
DON'T CHECK THEM IN DICTIONARIES. To create 5 different sentences with each unknown word.
WHY? It's better for our brains to learn through practices.
4. To think the story out loud (say it) in your own sentences page by page. And make sure using the highlighted words.

As a native speaker I can confirm that writing a Polish equivalent of the words that I do not know while reading a book has actually worked well for me. Thank you!

This is all I wanted to know thank you so much for being a grate mentor. Million thanks for my heart. Actually I understood many ways how I was reading. When I was reading a Theatre le jeu de l'amour at du hasard for Marivaux, I really got frustrated to look for meaning everytime. Then I started to search how to read a book from the constant questioning of weather I'm doing the right way or not. Then you saved my life ❤.

Hello my friend, how's it going? My name is Willian and I'm from Brazil. Tonight I'll do something different, I choose a book that I was looking for and finally I was able to pick up. So I'm gonna read at least 3 pager per day and I'll record my voice in each page, and I wanto to make my own e-book that I can listen to when I'm doing my house hold chores or something like that. I think it will be a challenge for me, but I need to improve my English and increase my vocabulary in my area. I'm studying computer science and the book is about HTML\CSS I'm gonna learning English and IT in the same time. I have no idea when I'll finish this book, but I hope return in this comment and post my point of view about this journey that I'll start tonight. THANK YOU SO MUCH,

This is a great example to read for everyone not just someone learning a new language. I want to start reading a book called civilisation or barbarism but there are a lot of words I don't know. Its kind of scaring me, but with your tips i am excited to give it another go :)

I have a question. as you said we have 2 kind of words during reading a book. the second one that words we have never met them before how is it possible without knowing the meaning and without checking in a dictionary can put it in different context or sentences even five times.
