Purex makes an “oxiclean” as well. It’s about $2 a box at my Walmart in Michigan. I LOVE it. Works great on my toddlers clothes :)

I have been doing this for years. Frugal plan and best of all it works!

Good Morning, Beautiful! So happy to have you join me on my coffee break this morning! As soon as I can use up what I have and make room for this detergent recipe, I'm on it! I tend to hoard things so I have 9 or more bottles of detergent right now. It's just hubby and me but we're all about the frugal life, especially now! How about doing a LIVE soon?

I’ve been watching a lot of your videos and I must say I enjoy your content very very much. Thank you!

Most people do not realize they are using to much soap when washing. It doesn't take much to wash a load.

Add white vinegar for fabric softener in your washer, it softens your clothes.

I use only unscented liquid laundry detergent. I've tried them all and the cheap brands work as well as the expensive ones for me. I use less than half of what is recommended per load. My clothes feel better and they last longer and don't fade. What you did is great too.

Instead of scent beads or scent crystals, I just add the same amount the container holds of Epsom salts and an ounce of essential oil or fragrance oil.

My favorites so far are:
1) Sweet orange with honeysuckle (sometimes I'll switch it up and do lemon for the citrus)
2) Cup of hot chocolate
3) Grandpa's den
4) Spring Rain Lane
5) Oatmeal stout
6) Gardenia Breeze

I use the foca, Zote pink bar (grated), box of dollar store color safe bleach, and regular baking soda. Works very well. I use a little less than 1/4 cup per load sm, med or lg and use gain dryer sheets instead of beads. Your gonna really save and your recipe is a good one. Save, save, save I also water down dish soap, shampoo and use bar soap instead of body wash. They are all so concentrated a little water does help stretch the product and dollar!!!

For years I have used equal amounts of borax ( not boric acid) and washing soda, with a few scoops of Oxiclean free because of my allergies. This cleans very well. If there are bad stains, I wet the fabric and create a paste of the powder and then add a bit more water to make it slushy. I let this sit for an hour or more, then wash.

I use to make my own laundry soap years ago until I found out it ruined my washer. I just say use caution and don't over do it, my appliance guy came over to fix my washer and said that homemade stuff clogs your washer so fast. I say if u start to notice a mildew ring around your washer I'd stop using it. I love the idea of saving money and making your own but I just wanted to share my experience. Good luck 🤞

Wow. Getting the stuff to make this up this week. I have 3 boys in sports and we go through a LOT of detergent. I also like to use the scented beads. My Walmart doesn’t have the cheaper options either but I’d rather not grate the bars of soap anyway 😂

Where I live we found a store that has 5 gal buckets of laundry soap for 19.99 they had Tide & gain.I had thought about making it also but after we found the buckets I decided to just buy them and save my self some work

I started using the diy laundry mix from YouTube but then I found different equivalent products at the DT. So I started making it that way. However, the store near me doesn't have the laundry booster, or oxi-all, nor even their powdered detergent. (I do still use fels naptha and zote in it, though.) Luckily I had some tucked away.

I'm working through a 5gal bucket I made up Sept 2021, and I'm maybe a third of the way through it. I use 2 "coffee scoops" per load. I have a top loader he washer.

I've been wondering if I should hunt up a different "recipe" for future use. I'll definitely be saving this video. ☺️

That laundry bill was crazy! Glad you found something way cheaper!

Just a little heads up. My brother was head honcho at an industrial laundry. He said to be careful what you use, it can cause build up in hoses and lines, especially if you have a septic. I also had to stop using fabric softener sheets. Those can leave residue in the drum of the dryer, and can..cause fires. CAN. Not something I will take a chance on. So..I make and use dryer balls, if you can find the ones made from roving yarn, or perhaps tennis balls, you can add drops of essential oils to it, for fragrance.
