This is really good. I've been playing with a few different ways of transcribing, including among others, using some Vosk libraries with Python, playing an audio file into MS Word dictation via Virtual Audio Cable. Out of all the different free pieces of software I have used, this does by far the best transcription. Also, like the MS Word dictation it applies formatting to the text which definitely saves time. I did notice that the larger the library you pick, the longer it takes, but the better the formatting is. The thing that impressed me the most was when using it on files with really bad audio. I downloaded some sample files to test the different pieces of software and one of them was of really poor quality. Most of the pieces of software only picked up the occasional word. Buzz, using the small library, took 1m 57s to transcribe this 1m 45s file, with only a few words that it hadn't understood. The site I downloaded it from was demonstrating how good they were at transcribing poor quality audio, but the Buzz transcription was far better than the commercial offering. This is a fantastic piece of software. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Thanks, before I installed Whisper with Python and used it by terminal (cmd). But with Buzz it´s great to have a GUI. And it looks like, Buzz is a lot more faster in trancribtion. A 30min Test-mp3-file to transcribe it with the medium-model (language german, on my PC-Hardware) it took only 15min.(perhaps 1:4 trancribtion time of the video lenght). On the Python-version, (same file, same hardware) took 45-80min.

Wow, ok! I transcribed the file again, a few minutes ago. The recognition in Buzz is much more precise and correct (in german) with less misstakes, than the Python version. I´m impressed. 🤣

I just bought the Buzz app for Mac - I am trying to translate Japanese audio to English - I used base size model and it was very poor - around 20% accuracy. I should add that the Japanese is discussing karate which is very difficult to understand. I just tried the Large whisper model and the difference is enormous - about 95% accuracy. So it does work I think good enough for movie subtitles. Now I will try Chinese audio!

1. Can the software support simultaneous recording and translation between 2 languages? Specifically, Chinese and Vietnamese. For example, when speaking Chinese, the software will automatically translate into Vietnamese, and vice versa.
2. Besides the translation function, can the software export the final result of the audio file and transcribe text file?
I'm looking for such software. Please help me.
