It's not caffeine, It's coffee. Both in and outside of the church people mistake it for caffeine because of the large amount of it found in coffee and use it for a reason why for no coffee. If it was caffeine then chocolate would be a no go too. Now you know.

Hahahaha ive always wondered the same thing. I went to a mormon church once for there food pantry..they hooked me up for a month! Shout out to the latter day saints!🎉

I grew up Mormon, and I’ll give you the scoop.

I’d say maybe only 20% of the Mormons I’ve met stay away from soda. Normally they don’t care, and drink it anyway. It’s an old stupid rule.

I do know some Mormon people who stay away from caffeine all together and only drink Sprite, Root Beer, etc.

I will however say that I know only a handful of Mormons who drink coffee.

They get the idea from a passage in the scriptures which says you shouldn’t consume hot drinks, and I guess that translated that into a burning sensation like how alcohol burns your throat and is hot.

I’m so glad to be rid of that lifestyle.

So they can't have caffeine but the women can go get surgery's all look the same and dye their hair etc priorities are all jacked up there 😂
