The fact, that the surgeons don't refuse it makes me even more scared of the world

I really respect Anthony, he is all for helping others but never to destroy for any price.

I absolutely love that you are giving this the attention that it needs.

I have been a Holistic Master Esthetician for almost 40 years. The trend I have seen in the past Couple years is frightening. It is also incredibly unethical in my opinion.

Beautiful young women cutting into their faces. When these young people have no makeup on to hide the cuts and changes they look absolutely deformed. Physicians doing this are causing incredible harm.

We must change the dialogue on beauty and aging and stop the message we are sending young people and men and especially women in general. Be unique! Age is BEAUTIFUL!!
Thank you for discussing this. 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa

I always wonder about the ethics of the surgeons, or lack of. There always seems to be such a huge helping of misogyny in medicine but more so in plastic/cosmetic surgery. So terrifying. I remember the days of "has she?" and no one knew for sure. Now it is an end in itself regardless of the revolting aesthetic. And young ppl doing this is mystifying. So sad and so scary. Just glad there are some doctors out there exposing and questioning.
Get 'em doctor Youn!

It's unfortunate that society made normal natural faces seem not beautiful enough. I don't blame the girl for doing this though, she's just a victim of the unrealistic beauty standards and pressure, as we all are.

There's an EXTREMELY fine line between what looks good and what looks horrific with facial plastic surgery and it is so incredibly easy to go over the line. People need to be so incredibly careful with facial plastic surgery. One procedure too many and you end up looking like a puffy-faced terror.

It’s called body dysmorphia and Hollywood made it “fashionable”.

I’m a counselor and the number of girls I see with low confidence because of unattainable beauty standards is so sad. They compare themselves to something that’s not natural which means they’re always going to feel like they’re not pretty enough. It’s so unhealthy.

I was getting under eye filler and unprompted the surgeon suggested i needed upper eye lid surgery for my hooded eyes. It really stuck with me and bothered me. I was always told to be a model.
I finally got it done not knowing it would not look as natural and makes a scar! I regret it. Natural is better!

Notice how they have a full face of makeup on in the “reveal” because otherwise they’d look bizzare. She’s going to be 60 something and still wearing layers of makeup to hide her own face. It’s just sad.

I truly appreciate you Dr youn. You actually think of the patient. I had a surgery botched cuz they didnt care and rushed. Luckily scars don't bother me but I got an infection that nearly killed me. So we need more doctors like you.

I’m so grateful for the beauty standards of my time. I looked up to natural beauty so my generation didn’t feel this kind of pressure. I’m 50 and I wouldn’t have something that invasive done to myself. Be careful young women. Embrace your own beauty. That’s more attractive, healthy, and important.

I used to never hate my large puppy dog eyes until social media. Once I deleted and saw a variety of beauty and plain features even... I liked my eyes again.

This person could barely blink at the end. Man, that’s just unfortunate.

Edit: was NOT expecting this to blow up. Thanks for all the comments and likes!

They used to make people undergo counseling sessions before surgery to make sure that the patient fully understood why they were getting surgery and to discourage surgery due to body dysmorphia . They also used to refuse to do certain surgeries.. Money talks...

These women are adults that chosed this path. The blame goes both ways.

Because in a lot of these cases, the surgeons are not board certified or properly trained in plastic surgery. All they can do is direct brow lift which is very easy compared to endoscopic brow lift that they don’t know how to perform.

I'm a Black woman and I have to say that I have always thought that Asian women were some of the most beautiful in the world and it disturbs me to see them plagued with these self hating lies that they need surgery to be beautiful. There to needs to be some self Love taught here!
