My dog growled at a shadow person that was walking in the backyard of one of my neighbors. How do I know this? Because I had woken up to let him out at 3 am and also saw it. There is more to reality than we understand and not all of it is very good

I would start seeing the shadow people after the 3rd day of no sleep normally. It's crazy that a lot of us that used heavily have all met them. My Asian friends said they were just spirits walking around, they won't hurt me. Kind of helped me relax, but there really is no relaxation with 3 days without sleeo lol. Just stay away from drugs kids. Don't even entertain just "trying" it because that will lead you down a road of destruction.

I saw shadow people while on guard duty in the military. Always just brushed it off as being hallucinations, didn't feel like waking up my buddies and getting yelled at for false alarms.

sleep deprivation. After 3 days, you start seeing trees dance.

Hey Dr. B, so i used meth for about 2 months and i ended up getting diagnosed with schizophrenia i have bad auditory hallucinations. But I've recently got on a new med for me which is resperidone and it has been working wonders for me. But I wanted to know, is it normal to get diagnose with schizophrenia after just 2 months of meth use . ? I have suffered with this illness for going on 4 years now. And I'm 31

I once thought I saw people making out next to my pool and I literally shouted out at them. And upon closer inspection it turned out to be the barbecue grill.

I want to add that short term rapid psychosis is also possible especially in drug combinations and/or at medium-high doses. The individual’s predispositions and their general mental and physical health plays a large part. Users with ptsd or cptsd or other specific mental health maladies are likely more vulnerable to psychosis, paranoia and hallucinations.

I received a grade five liver laceration from a car crash. I had woken up from an induced coma, I hallucinated for 3 days. I dealt with 72 hours of constantly seeing shadow people, one could bend his limps behind him and walk like the grudge on the walls and ceilings and broke their own limbs to stuff themselves into the medicine cabinet on the wall. One hid behind the curtains. And one walked freely like a human hovering over my bed. Their body’s with completely black. They had a mouth and eyes. But at the same time they didn’t have mouth and eyes. The areas where they had a mouth and eyes they were just even blacker then the rest of their body. Their body seemed to be made of fog/smoke. Nothing about them was physical yet they still held a shape and form. Very strange times. I underwent the same surgery twice just more extensive because the first surgery failed and I started bleeding internally again since my originally surgery on my liver laceration had failed. When I woke my second induced coma. I hallucinated again for another 3 days only to spend another 72 hours with the shadow people. Very crazy. Have had a few experiences since that moment. But even if it was just hallucinations. Makes me wonder why I saw black smoke body and faced shadow people and yet so many have too.

I think it has something to do with the rods and cones in the back of the eye malfunctioning. Plus I've read that your Your body is actually trying to warn you that something is wrong inside of you so your mind starts to be oversensitive to anything that looks like a threat. And when Ramesh and living at life everything in threat because you are hurting yourself and probably living in the world that is not very safe

The third day of non-sleep on meth is where things start getting hairy. It starts with seeing rats zipping around out the corner of your eye, then the shadow people come to say hello. I only ever stayed up for four days, that was enough for me. How people stay up for a week or more, I don’t know.

I always felt it was the amphetamine killing you putting you in a situation where you have 1 foot still in life but it seems 1 foot in death

A big question is how do some folks rationally deal with their hallucinations (whatever the trigger(s) is/are, acute or chronic).

the reason shadow people are so common to see is that the brain has picks up on light/dark differences more easily than it does other things, and converts that difference into something comprehensible like the figure of a person

I started seeing these shadow people for a few months until their faces became clear. And hearing them speak and say my name was creepy. Unfortunately my cocaine and Mollys addiction was bad. The molly and having no sleep, the more the shadows would appear.Eventually the lights would have to stay on at night. Sometimes trying to catch them before they got me. People wouldn’t come in my house they were scared and me too. There were times in the daylight when the shadow people were out. The one that stood out the most was the tall soldier for me. He was terrifying towering over 7 ft and never said a word.
