Don't buy any of these 5 unreliable cars (in my opinion) because they're likely to be unreliable and will be money pit cars. I'm going to show you 5 of the worst cars to buy from my perspective.

We'll talk about Volvo issues, Chrysler issues, the BMW X3 issues you'll want to know about, Ford Focus issues, and more issues from all of these car brands. These are just cars you won't want to own long term, at least in my opinion.

Exotic car play place, where we believe that Life's Too Short To Drive Boring Cars so we just don't and you shouldn't either.

Entertaining, a bit of humor and exposing overpriced cars.

Good video. Had my son watch this with me. He’s 20. He loves small cars. Every car you mentioned here I had already warned him about. Seeing your video tells him dad is not so stupid after all.

Seriously i looked at my wife n said i wonder which bmw Mark is going to skewer for this video. I put it on speaker during the x3 section n she laughed so hard she almost peed herself. Your disdain n resentment of bmw is making pure gold for your channel!! Keep it up Mark. Great stuff!!!

I work as a car salesman, I purchased so many cars and here is the summary of my experience of owning a total of 33 cars,
The only cars that I found the most reliable and worth buying are the Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Acura, Mazda

"Back in the day", I recall that many of these brands used to be fairly reliable. Volvo was certainly a cornerstone of this statement. Great video Mark!

My son has a 2013 Ford Focus with 92, 000+ miles and never had a problem! It’s all about the maintenance and upkeep of your vehicle!!

There is a reason why my 2007 Lexus ES350 has been so reliable. It's devoid of most of the high tech features now commonly found in current cars. I tend to separate "reliability" into two camps; infotainment and software, and mechanical. IMO, most newer cars have issues with the former, while the latter is less often, but very costly when it occurs (e.g., Volvo faulty piston rings in 2013-2013 engines, Ford EcoBoost self-destruction, BMW defective plastic timing chain guides, etc).

Force feeding a 4 banger in a fat car is a recipe for expensive repairs

Good rule of thumb. The more complicated, the more can go wrong. That's why simple engines like the Ford 300 straight six and Jeep 4.0L were so bulletproof.

In Australia, Ford Australia was taken to court by a class action on the Ford Focus as they were telling people the reason the transmission was failing was because of the way they were driving, ( over 17, 000 )my sister took hers back twice & then was told on the third occasion that they would refund the cost minus $7000 I told her that this was against the Australian Consumer Law so she eventually got all her money back 1 year later when she joined the lawsuit.

I just can’t imagine why anyone would buy a Range Rover anything.

The more I watch this channel, the more I'm convinced car manufacturers have all collectively decided to go cheap and build lower quality cars, all the while increasing price. The only task left to them now is to get the buying public to lower their expectations and just accept the fact that "they don't build 'em like the used too."

Say what you want about Volvo, I will never trade it for a flimsy Japanese car. Those are death traps. Never compromise on Safety. You only live once. Lexus, Toyotas have the worst seats. No back support and honestly ain't worth a dime. I have 2014 XC60 with 85, 000 miles and zero issue, haven't spent a dime except for a tires, and one battery after 8 years. German and Swedish car has to be maintained by dealerships, not Leroy's Auto!!
If you can't afford the maintenance, Don't buy these cars, they are made for upper class and rich folks. If you make less than $200K, buy a Japanese car.

Great videos! I have a 2014 Focus Automatic. It's got 198000 miles on it and still no problems. I'll let you know in about a year and a half if it makes it 10 years with no major engine or transmission problems.

I’ve had 2 BMWs, & all I’m going to say is; I’ll NEVER buy another one! I drive an Infiniti G35 now, it beats the CRAP out of the BMWs in every way!

Don’t forget to add BMW to the list. I used to love them but they just lost their quality. Never again.

I had a 2019 Camry that was the worst car I've ever owned. Tranmission issues and a crappy interior with a dash that was splitting in two. People love to hate on certain auto makers even though you'll find most owners of said manufacturer are happy with their purchases and have no issues. Toyota does not get a free pass from me. They can make shyt cars and truck just like the others.

I have a 2012 Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost 6-Speed manual with 160k miles on the clock and going strong. Many of the issues that you mentioned are Powershift related including key stuck in ingnition. Most european cars have better trim like ambient lighting, better seats, automatic paraller park etc. It seems that in US focuses are entry level cheap cars, people dont look after that well.
