This is going WAY back, but in 1980 I bought a Volkswagen Scirocco, and it was a blast to drive! Until the Bosch fuel injection started acting up. Back to the dealer every 2 months, like clockwork. The service department waiting room was packed with VW owners. By 1983 the dealer closed down for good.

If I'm not mistaken, all these issues you mentioned only relates to a used vehicle as warranty would take care of most of these problems if the vehicle was new.

Whenever I get the urge to sample the "latest and greatest" from the luxury manufacturers, i'll rent one for whenever I go on a road trip or am traveling for business.

I'll get my fix, enjoy it for that time and happily walk away without the headache of ownership.

You should call out the years for these junk vehicles. It would definitely help to ID which cars you’re referencing. A lot of problems stem from lack of maintenance. Not all but many vehicles. Even the “quality “ cars. Thanks

Wow...I bought a new Camry in 2005. I drove that car 15 years with 218, 000 miles. The car NEVER used nor dripped ONE DROP OF ANYTHING! Even the AC never had to be serviced! Then I hear about the shitty quality of cars nowadays and I can't believe it!

As a Genesis owner I have been very happy with the car overall. I have 2018 Genesis G80 Sport which now has close to 160k kms. 3.3 is a reliable engine. Oil changes every 5k kms. I love the car.

I would only buy 6cyl. BMW's. Too many issues with the 4 and 8 cylinder engines.
