Every time I have tried this, the epoxy filler separates from the wood because it doesn’t expand and contract like the wood l. I pre treat with wood hardener …I have used bondo most commonly….but I have also used epoxy wood filler. It just cracks and aerated and admits water within a year. What are you using that is different? And why use silicone as a backer rather than slowly build up the epoxy layer by layer? Would love for this to work for me .
