Wow. All these years I just thought the snare bugged but it's actually intentional. Definitely not a fan of 0 HP tanks running around. The critical hits were changed to stop tanks cheating death but it looks like they still have been all these years. Fantastic video.

Holy hell. Thank you so much for making this video, really insightful and well researched. For the record, I agree with you that a 0 HP tank should be dead

This is why you are the best CoH2 content creator. That is super critical information and answers a lot of questions. Very interesting stuff, thank you very much for doing the deep dive on this and testing. Much appreciated mate.

Blessings tightrope. Your content is above and beyond for the community and things like this keep our game alive.

I was hoping you could do an updated micro/tips and tricks video. Alot of your current stuff is many years old, they may be quite relevant and loads of info, in today's 2021 world finding info can be quite tedious.

I humbly request a revisit to this series starting with the
Rebinding and usefulness of the tactical map - since we can't remap keys in game
Small micro tips capping, weight point commands, and other -unknown- keybinds in CoH2 like select idle unit, etc.

I know this is a tall ask, but I love this game. I love watching, and I want to start playing again. I haven't since the very early beginnings of this game since before the USF expansion.
So having a little training session for my self will help my confidence when I finally venture into PvP.

Tldr - you rock, ty for helping the community so much and please please revisit a tips and tricks video for 2021

You are doing the lord's work.
0 health = death.
and fausts are actually buggy sometimes they outright miss !

Thanks for your work on this Tightrope. I hope they change this. Deflection damage should take out vehicles, I also think they should increase the recharge time of the fausts to be closer to the allied snares.

Thanks for exlaining all the hidden details on game, I hope the next coh we can have proper units explanation and stats, I hate that in this game I don't know how much dmg a JT does.

only coh2 would have a Zero HP Tank running around as an intended part of game design.

Yeah, i remember that was a thing in Coh1, more extreme i think, too. Vehicles at low health needed to suffer a crit to actually die, which at very low health was common but a tank could take several AT rounds and all the Rifle squad sticky bombs to die

I think it's just a bug. Overlooked for many years.

IIRC "death" is basically a critical which is just set to 100% to occur when the vehicle goes to 0% HP (that's where you got the quote at the end from) as opposed to getting other crits like main gun destroy or engine dmg (what used to be called the 5%HP surviving tank).

The problem seems to be that deflection damage in those weapon profiles are not set to trigger the death crit.

Tightrope is a national treasure for the COH2 community. That is all.

This has happened to me as well, TWICE! I am going to check if I have the replay still. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why it was happening but it completely changed the outcome of the match. We were neck and neck all game and after the engagement where this occurred gave him a slight edge which he was able to snowball and win the game. Boy was I not happy....

Another example of allies having to buy or unlock their snares / nades just for them to be weaker than the free axis counterpart. Illogical.

0 hp =death no matter what people say.
