I done all this and it still says write protected. Think I’ll just throw it in the bin 😂

But if you on a sd card and this still not works than there is something on the sd card like a switch it's on the left side of the disk and move the switch forward and that should unlock it
And that is what I did and it worked for me, I can now format my sd card

I use sandisk cruze blade 16 GB and its not working in both regedit and cmd method !!

until dos command was ok. successfully cleared readonly, but cannot format the usb.

Still got an issue.. i can format to my hearts content but everytime i copy it says write protection needs removing.. this is a brand new sd card and reader..
