When you’re doing the overhead press, make sure to squeeze your glutes and then push your elbows forward directly underneath your hands so that you can press the bar upwards in a straight line while keeping your lower back neutral.

Dude this videos are great, they are really useful. God bless you man. And God bless your family. Maybe you should add up how to build a workout routine depending on your objectives, that would rise up even more your credibility. What ypubare already doing is perfect, we the noobs need some orientation. Hope to see what you think about it??

I randomly saw this yesterday and decided to use it when I did OHP. It actually helped a ton to ease The tension in my back. Thanks a million

I'd also recommend tensing your quads to avoid leaning backwards

love those really short but accurate videos, one suggestion to illustrate on the picture more with highlights so that it's much easier to understand.

You would also lean back in the same way you pull your chest to the sky during the bottom of a pull up. The erectors and upper back muscles will support the lean if you know how to brace correctly. It’s in antagonism with the abdominals, so they’ll keep the back from flexing too much.

You’re gonna have to do this anyway to go up in weight. Its otherwise impossible to have more weight in the position you have it due to center of mass issues

Do this seated for lower back management. Deadlifting, rowing and squatting during the week does a number on the lower back.

If you want more stability you better put a feet slightly forward the other one (not miles away but just a bit) . It will prevent you from having your lower back taking all the weight and having it going forward after couple of reps, when he'll get tired.

Problem of this exercice, often being that the eliminated factor is the lower back being too tired to support the movement. You better of doing a seated version.

very good technique. People rlly dont know how to brace. Olympic weightlifting fundamentals, i believe, should be taught in schools. because it sets you up for success in any other type of weight lifting.
