Found this through the recommendations and thought it’s gonna be a big YouTuber yapping about their course but it turned out to be solid advice lol

Love you. One suggestion: when you put something on the screen in writing, please leave it up for longer. It’s too fast and I couldn’t read it. Sending you tons of encouragement. You are going to make it!

Working on your strength/health is not shallow - it’s simply smart.

breaking things down like that is actually a smart strategy to build discipline without making it feel forced. Dicipline it self is the practice of training urself or other to obey rules or code of behaviour and ability to stay focused and follow through on tasks or goals, even when you don’t feel like it. It’s about sticking to plans and routines to reach a goal, rather than giving in to distractions or short-term desires.

I've been following your suggested technique not really knowing its actually a thing lol.
Completing those limited (eg:-3) tasks can create a sense of progress and accomplishment, which boosts motivation and makes it easier to keep going. Keep up the good work bro.!

I have tried something similar in the past, but I have found that scraps of paper get lost very easily!
I am currently using a ruled A6 Notebook. This small enough to fit in my pocket, but bulky enough that I notice if it isn’t there.
Mine has a ring spine, so I can leave it open at today’s list, but still have a record of how I did on previous days, and even allows me to plan lists for future days, if I want to.
Still a work in progress, but I am finding it very helpful.

Omg this is genius 😭 The number of productivity tips I've tried that haven't done shit for me is ridiculous. And I bet there's an awesome feeling to it when you see the load of crash lists you've made xD

This reminds me of the Covey '4DX' concept. Minimal milestones, incremental achievement, frequent reviews and commitment to actionable tasks. It's all Kaizen 😊

You might divvy your life into 3 major buckets, and it's working for you, but I'm 55 and 3 major buckets wouldn't have worked for me for most of my life. Like when I was raising my kids, I would likely have needed a “pillar” just for family. I actually shift what areas of my life I'm focused on based on roles, focusing on 3-4 and assessing whether that needs to change each month. I have had a lot of roles in my life, some are dormant or have been dropped (no longer a board member, now an empty nester so “parent” is no longer a priority role). So, in case anyone feels they can't shoehorn their goals/to dos into the 3 “pillars” mentioned, look at your goals and figure out what higher level categories you might gather them into if it's not those pillars. What matters to you and your life right now. And revisit it as your life and needs change.

You're going to have such a big channel if you keep this up. This is my first time watching your videos and I thought you were way bigger. The quality of your content is so high compared to your subscriber count. I can see you being a big influencer. Keep it up Olly! I really appreciated your video.

Yo first first vid of yours I saw action done > time spent is a good mentality thanks! Also adding time stamps would be goated!
But idk would that bring watching time down though which affect the algorithm or would it create a good fanbase as more people willing to watch because they can watch what they want. Just a thought tho. Good vid, the algorithm sent me here lol.
