Ruby on Rails is my personal favourite framework to develop full stack web apps with. Nevertheless it being my favourite doesn't have any impact on its popularity.

Pretty much agreed. I don't think many new projects will choose it, partly because it's not the New Shiny Thing any more, but there's plenty of legacy projects around that use it, and of course there's nothing really *wrong* with it for new stuff.

I am learning JS and it's ok but Ruby and RoR has been so much fun and easy to learn.
The only thing I really don't like (I'm beeing picky here) it's to setup a new configuration but now it's my favourite framework to get things done.

the short answer would be no.
The complex answer is that you can learn rails quickly if you come from another language and have experience.
Many startups still use it and it pays well, but it is a very small job field.

Agreed, RoR is the best framework for startups. Point blank, period.

Where can you get free or even paid hosting for Ruby on Rails? Heroku doesn't have a free tier anymore.

many places uses legacy projects. For example still a few years ago I worked with VB4, Java 7, C Modules. Other companies still working with Cobol (Bank)
Ruby is no longer popular, but no, Ruby it's not dead year.

Well summed up. There’s a Fireship video where he tests building 10 web apps with 10 different frameworks and guess which came on top? Yup, good old RoR. Rails is dead, long live Rails!
