Josh. Great tip about leaving the nail in the middle of the siding when removing.

That vinyl siding you are demonstrating on.. is an easy latch type.. the one I have, it latches so tough tight even with the tool it's seems impossible.

Very nice! I would recommend to use longer roofing nails when nailing back. That will insure the nail secures into the stud. Using the same nail could work its way back out. Thanks again for the video!

Every video makes removing siding look so easy. Even trying the zip tool I couldn't get it. The zip tool would barely catch the edge, but not enough to pop it off.

Great job! I had a couple of pieces of vinyl siding that blew off with high wind gusts. Was unsure of how to reattach them. Your video was just the thing I needed to have the confidence to do it myself. Thanks🙂

I needed to order some replacement pieces of siding on my 20 yr old house and called the original installers who told me I needed to bring a sample b/c they couldn’t match the color from a pic I sent. You just saved me an hour and a half trip by telling me the name of the siding or number is printed on it. Now WHY didn’t they tell me that? I found your video because I wanted to know how to safely remove a piece to take to them. Thanks!

siding is usually hooked pretty tightly together. you can unlock/remove it this way, but after you do this a couple of times your fingers will hurt. If your working on your own sided home, buy the tool... many repairs will be needed over time.
