Im from méxico and ive never seen anyone over here wash their rice like that… pero its interesting to see what others do different

I’ve never blended my ingredients first. I toast my garlic and onion with the rice then add the tomato sauce. I love this idea. Great job!

Wash the rice in a pot and throw the water in the plants, is a fantastic fertilizer

Mexican Red Rice/Arroz Rojo
2 cups of rice
2-3 Roma tomatoes cut in halves
1/4 onion
2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp of knorr
1 tsp of tomato knorr
1/4 tsp salt
Cilantro leaves optional
1 cup of water to blender
Blend
Then measure 4 cups of water from the mixture you blended
Cook medium to low
Cook for 20 minutes and keep checking on it once it’s fluffy

In India, we call it tomato rice. We also have lemon rice, coriander rice, tamarind rice, khichidi, yogurt rice😂.... we got many versions of rice, and they're all My favorites are khichidi and yogurt rice. And every family makes rice in their own way so.. I like the khichidi that my mom makes, it's packed with a lot of spices and vegetables...just packed with flavor !

My great grandmother always rinsed her Mexican rice before she cooked it and it came out most and fluffy not sticky thanks for sharing it brought back memories.🥰

So cool! Looks tasty. Very similar to jollof rice cooking process, but we cook our tomatoes for much longer and use different seasoning, which gives a different taste.
