iOS 18 - Every New Apple CarPlay Feature

iOS 18 introduces many new features and changes, including some updates specific to Apple CarPlay. The new CarPlay features should work on iOS 18-supported devices and will automatically appear on your vehicle equipped with Apple CarPlay. In this video, I go over and demonstrate the new features of iOS 18 on Apple CarPlay in a 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 450.

Need help. I recently updated to ios 18 and since then everytime i play music on my car with carplay, when i lock and unlock my phone, the sound changes into stereo and mono sound, to which it never happens this before

Downloaded iOS 18 last night on my 13 pro max and CarPlay no longer works on my car. It worked fine before iOS 18 but now it only works if I delete it the connection from my car and phone and repair. But when I turn the car off the problem starts again. Anyway to delete iOS 18 and go back to 17?

I wish the side bar would be the same for all cars with Apple Carplay. Mine is still on the side after updating it today. & when are we supposed to be able to change the app colors on Carplay??

i’m listen to music, then i receive a phone call and after the call it goes back to the music but no sound comes out

iPhone 15 pro. iOS 18 broke CarPlay in both of my vehicles. 2018 F150 and 2017 Honda Accord. None of the “fixes” solves the problem, not even the 18.1 update. Have you heard any other reports about this? Do you have any ideas about a solution? Thanks.

Voice control doesn’t not work when saying play, pause etc for music.

It works for everything else you said.

Any idea why music commands aren’t working?

Can you do a CarPlay video on the difference of Ip Next vs Play Next as far as podcasts go. Play Next seems to be the Queue plus Continue Playing from the iPhone but the other just seems random. I often have a reasonable size queued up and don’t want to loose it with a miss tap. Thanks

After IOS 18, it does not work. Doesn’t connect, and when it does it only lasts a few minutes and goes back to phone sounding audio.
