1) Sunscreen should be worn all year around - yes this even includes cloudy days and during the winter!
2) New moles are less worrying under the age of 30, any new moles after this should be checked by your dermatologist to rule out skin cancer
3) Using more than a pea sized amount of retinol is a recipe for irritation, you don't need to use more then that!

Sunscreen wasnt even a thing here until beauty vloggers got popular on youtube. Plus is hella expensive and caters mostly to foreigners (whites) or rich fancy locals. I think it also depends on the elevation cause I’ve heard from friends the sun is waaaay harsher in the US compared here even if it’s sunny all year round. And skin cancer here is rare and unheard of. Oldies here doesn’t get sun damaged and as wrinkly for their age even if they dont wear sunscreen.

I use a tiny bit more than a pea sized amount of my retinoid. Simply because I have plump cheeks and I need a little bit more just to cover my entire face area. I'm still strict with the amount that I use and apply a very thin layer, but everybody's face is different. Some people have a bigger face than others, so a teeny bit more than a pea is required to cover all areas.
