Ryobi Weed Wacker String Replacement - The EASY Way

I found that on my first string replacement that I could not get the string through the hole going straight through because it appeared to be blocked. Sure enough, there was still some string wound onto the spool but it had welded onto itself. So I removed that partial string and then started over replacing the string with the method that you showed here. Perfecto!

I'm going to remember this. I did it per the instructions and had to take it down to the shop to have the lower put back on the upper because I didn't have the hand strength to do it myself. Humiliating, but I learned something.

ok figured it out and thank you for saving me hours of frustration! This method works great and I needed to swap out the thinner string that came with mine for more robust thicker sharper cutting string to demolish 200 feet of tall weeds.

My sister does not have a Ryobi Weed Wacker but she does have similar and she has to go to a neighbour to get him to take off the I cannot wait to tell her about this video, just in case it will work on her make and model!!!
