Just bought one today. I used it for about 10mins and it worked well. I’ve never cut grass or used a tool like this before and it was quite simple to put together without reading any instructions. I’ll try to do my whole lawn in a week or two

I LOVE my new 10". I HATE my RY253SS trimmer.
It is LOUD, HEAVY & uncomfortable in my hands.
I cant seem to find a comfortable position to hold
it. Also, all that BANGING on the ground to keep
the string fed. every 10min or less I have to turn it
off, remove the head, fish out the string.
But, I LOVE my new 10"! lightweight, quiet, self
feeding string. Whats not to love? the shaft could
be maybe 4 - 6" longer so I could keep my back
straight. Otherwise its a keeper.

My brand new trimmer is coming apart at the center seem. The string doesn’t come out as it should and retracts back into the spool all the time causing me to have to open the top, needle the string through the hole and start again. The spool of string always unravels in the spool too. Horrible design. As for the new self propelled lawn lower, the batteries fully charged give an error green light (the two green lights in the middle out of the four) error. The front two wheels are starting to bow outwards catching my fence here and there which is annoying. My leaf blower will turn on and off wind blow. Batteries look good and nothing is blocking any filter etc. All brand new items that are a good waste of money. I’ve called Ryobi and was asked to send my items 200 plus miles away for “service”? I asked Ryobi what do I do meantime to cut my yard because I have an HOA and fines residents for overgrown grass and there isn’t an ETA for the service and if the items need to be replaced there isn’t an ETA. All in all, this is what you get from buying a Ryobi product. I cut my front yard twice a week and backyard at least once every two weeks. These items are free of damages and other factors. I thought I loved Ryobi, and I really did but, when it came to all these problems it really made me think about reliability and the time I take to cut my grass because of all these issues.
Although it may sound like a great idea to go electric, which is great at first, use of these products due to quality and endurance simply goes down the drain just like my money did.

doesn't come with real instructions. Forced to figure it out on your own. So frustrating.
