I doubt that Darth Maul could actually beat Count Dooku, but other than that, great video!

Big flaw to sidious encouraging a maul v dooku duel - dooku had the charisma and connections that make him valuable. He was the face and “leader” of the separatists, maul was just an assassin. Sidious would not allow this.

Three fallacies here.
Firstly, if Dooku killed Anakin and Obi Wan, he wouldn't have run immediately from Yoda as he thought he could beat him initially. It was only after realizing that he couldn't midway through their duel that he needed to retreat. Without Kenobi and Skywalker there to threaten, Dooku can't escape Yoda and would be killed or captured mostly likely, so the scenario would realistically end there.

Secondly, provided Dooku did somehow escape Yoda, while Sidious would be furious at Dooku for killing Anakin(as he was under orders NOT to do that) I very much doubt that Sidious would keep Dooku imprisoned, he did need him for the war and to be the face of the Separatists. Dooku was too valuable this early in the conflict to dispose of or torment too much.

Thirdly, Maul would be no match for Dooku. The Zabrak was weaker and less skilled than Dooku even before Dooku had become a Sith Lord, where he gained enough power to be able to contend with Yoda. Dooku would absolutely destroy Maul in any confrontation one on one. He's the better duelist, he's much more powerful in the Force, has eight decades of experience in the Light and Dark and finally has a much wider mastery of abilities than Maul. Sidious would be trading down, not up by favoring Maul over Tyranus by the time of the Clone Wars and that's not his MO.

I don't think Maul could beat Dooku. Maul also underwent a lot, he was basically driven crazy on that garbage planet, and was not in peak physical condition either. Not to mention his weakness to force lightning, which Dooku is adept at.

I wonder, if the Jedi really can recover so easily after this scenario. Two of the highest members of their order just killed the supreme chancellor of the Republic. Yes, he was a Sith, but I doubt that most people even know, what this is. There's no law against being on, is there?
Also now they have to fight two fronts with less manpower. Neither the Clones nor the Separatists will suddenly surrender just because of the death of Palpatine.
