Remember when your channel does hit the higher numbers - they "automatically" get the other monetary benefits. Plus it keeps new creators in the picture and not distracted by competitive video alternatives.

I was 100 hours from 4K hours and its been dropping like crazy in the last couple months. Don't know what happened with the algorithm but I'm rarely getting views right now.

And you're right Super Thanks and Merchandise shelf has made me no money so far.

I’m glad they essentially added in a livestreamer tier. Strong community building will absolutely bring in revenue before the steeper ad requirements. And for some, maybe even just a super chat or two would help keep that fire going to keep streaming (if they need that — a lot of people seem to need motivation). Started streaming a couple months ago, loving YT’s organic growth. Twitch showed zero promise, sadly.

It's designed to teach creators to actually "connect" with your audience. Which is how I read the exercise. You have to read between the lines of what it does for newbie creators.

About 3 weeks ago I reached the first set of monetization (500 subscribers and 3000 watch hours) but haven't been able to get past the second step because revenue won't show in my Adsense account in order to add payment method and on the earn tag l'm just stuck on the the screen showing me that l'm stuck on the 2nd step, I can't track my watch hours towards the full monetization. My question is, even though even if the steps are t completed and once I reach 4, 000 watch hours, will revenue appear in my account to add a payment method? Please Help Me.

Is this only for certain regions? I’m in the uk and the ‘earn’ tab in my YouTube studio still asks for 4000 watch hours

Just one comment about the video, you quoted the original requirements, but those were not the original requirements. I don't know what they were, I think just after a certain amount of views on a video Youtube reached out to you. I was asked 4 times to join the partnership program way back when, and I must have had less than 300 subs. I did not join, and just as well as I would have been kicked off the program once the 1000 sub requirement was enacted, I think after the adpocolypse.

It is also not an easy thing to get 500 subs, not all types of channels work that way. Other than that, good video.
