I like that Framework actually upgraded their laptop with 12th gen CPUs (yes, I'd love to see Ryzen/ARM/RISC-V options but it's good to see an upgrade nonetheless)

Man, Lenovo Legion series has been hitting hard since the Y530. Sleek, powerful, yet affordable. I wish I could get one in the future.

I have been using the Legion Y530 for about 4 years and just recently upgraded to the Legion 5 Pro (2021), i know there is a bit of a difference compared to its 2022 counterpart, i got the 2021 on a sale and i just cant go for a base price 2022 and it still does well nonetheless. On a side note, i cant deny that the difference is night and day compared to my previous laptop, i have been enjoying Lenovo's Legion laptops for many years and they didnt disappoint when i got another one of their laptops, its great to see them dominate the laptop market and i hope they continue to do well and add more game-changing features to the market.

I got the asus zenbook s13 and my god am I in love with it. I switched from my 7 year old ultrabook and its been the most insane upgrade. It’s lighting fast, crazy battery life and amazing display. I honestly cannot recommend it enough.

Big respects for whoever has the Renault R5 3E Concept Car as their background.

the ultimate laptop buyer's guide. You even got the pro's to join in on this video, matt & jarrod are the authority when it comes to laptop reviews., when paired with Hardware Canucks professional delivery style, and top level cinematography good things happen!! i think you guys should do more collaborations.

Edit: I think the ROG STRIX G15 is a amazing bargain. Can be found for 1k bucks or less in many stores and it has great build quality.
Also, in case you decide to do a video on laptops to avoid, please put the gigabyte aero 5 xe4 on the top of the list. :(

Been using my M16 2022 from the day it's available in the market... I'm one of the first M16 2022 owners in my country. Here's a little review from me...

First of, the screen..
The screen is vivid, colors pops, and it's really nice to look at. However, there's a slight issue when it comes to skin tones. Colors are a bit off and tend to over saturate. Skins appear reddish for some reason. It can easily be fixed by reducing the saturation by a little amount in the Nvidia or Intel display settings.

Next, the performance.
I have the i9 12900h. It's performing really well when I first got it. After quite some updates (bios updates, windows updates (I'm using the beta channel)) my Cinebench scores are around 16k. When I first got it, it was staying at around 18k. Idk if it's because of my fans are dirty, or is it because of windows 11 beta or the updated bios which I believe prioritize battery and temps... Anyway, 16k on cinebench is still plenty enough for gaming and day to day task...

Next, Thermals and noise
The 12th gen intels are known for its great performance but with the cost of it being really hot which makes the fans super loud on Turbo Mode. I wouldn't say the fans are loud enough to be intrusive but using it indoor where it is quiet, it can be quite annoying and you might wanna stay in performance mode.

Keyboard and trackpad.
Trackpad is one the best I've used on a windows laptop no doubt. Keyboard on the other hand, if you press it like on the edge it sometimes won't register. But the feel is great, so it's a minor complaint.

Design & built quality
Key feature of this device is the design. I bought the M16 just because it looks good and low profile. Built quality is great, the keyboard deck finish is a fingerprint magnet and is hard to keep it clean. Minor issue is the soft rubber finish started to peel off on the edge of the laptop. Idk if this will be an issue in the future but keep in mind, better off to go to asus service center and request a swap for the G15 keyboard deck. Pretty sure it's the same fitting.

Price
It's expensive for what you get.
There are a lot of laptops that will give you more with the same amount of money.

Conclusion:
If you have the money, and you like the looks of it, buy it.
I'd recommend getting a more value for money laptop tho lol

Cheers 🍻

The 6800u is a popular choice in upcoming handheld PCs, which I’m in the market for. It’s concerning if it is that rare to find in laptops. I can’t imagine all these handheld PC manufacturers will have much stock either

Great summary of amazing options!
Id like to add that the asus rog flow x series is also an amazing option! As a student, designer, and gamer, it marks all my boxes. The performance is great for heavy adobe use, video editing, or animating. It’s very reliable overall. No gimmicks, just good.

For me the best one, especially for devs, was the tuxedo infinity book 14, i7-12700h, 3050 in option, 3k 16:10 display, 10h of battery life and it ships with a custom Linux distro containing apps that allows you to disable the GPU if you don't need it at a certain time to save even more battery

I am waiting my Legion 5 Pro 2022 i7 12th gen + rtx 3070ti. decided to upgrade from MSI GL65 i7 9th gen + rtx 2060 from 3 years ago. I know 13th gen intel and rtx 40 series is around the corner, but I thino 12th gen +3070Ti and thunderbolt support will serve just fine for 4 to 6 years ahead

before i considered buying Asus M16 for my architecture school but after researching and found some problems so ultimately i chose Lenovo 5i pro. i think i chose the right decision. the only problem that i had on this laptop is weight. but is not a big problem for me. and another problem is that my laptop has no RGB and still has the big Y logo at the back, because i bought in China. that is Chinese version. but that is not a big problem for me. Thanks so much for your advice that make me make a right decision.

Here is what I want for a gaming laptop:
- 14" 16:10 oled screen;
- Phoenix APU;
- airjet cooling;
- best keyboard I can get.

May look underwhelming but I want a laptop that is more focused on studying but is also capable of gaming. This is just a rough idea though. The swift X isn’t a good match for me because I don’t want to skip on good cooling.

I would be willing to go with a 4050 and a ryzen 7800hs as well. More than that and I think I am spending for something I wouldn’t really take advantage of.

i think maybe the lenovo slim 7 pro x would have been a good fit somewhere, with around a 7 - 10 hour battery life, and enough performance to where im thinking of getting rid of my desktop, and its very slim, its very similar to the 14" acer at the start but with amd, and also i think it may be a bit slimmer
