Here are the reasons why certain popular laptops aren't mentioned:
1) IdeaPad 5 Pro - I like it alot, I felt the price was getting close to Slim 7 Pro, so chose that one over it
2) Asus M16 - I wanted to review it but didn't get time
3) Inspiron 16 Plus - Display is too dim for me to recommend
4) ThinkPad X1 Carbon - Should have got a call out for very good battery life. Best i've tested on a windows laptop
5) LG Gram - I tried to avoid laptops with Intel Ultrabook processors around the $1K mark and above... unless there was something truly special about them i.e. Framework laptop. In the case of super thin and light laptops, I decided to go with the ThinkPad X1 Nano over the Gram due its overall quality. The gram I do like and have used, I just didn't think it warranted this list

THE best laptop compilation for almost every use-case in every price range. Thanks Josh, your mother should be super proud as this is the best laptop buying guide around the Black Friday sales. Thank you very much ♥️

I bought an Asus zephyrus g14 second hand for $1175 (2021 version, Ryzen 9 5900HS, GTX 3060). Upgraded it to an Intel wifi6 ax200 card, and a 32gb silicon power ram stick for around $135 in upgrades. Worth it.

Thanks for your reviews as always. I got the MacBook air M1 for 779 USD at microcenter on sale. Like you said, good screen, great battery life, great performance.

Great recommendations as always Josh! I have the M1 MBP, and am really pleased with it so far. The only downsides are the lack of Windows support (Bootcamp) and the lack of ports. Seriously, who thought having two Thunderbolt ports (both on the same side too) was enough, that too for a ‘pro’ laptop? Other than that, it’s insanely good.

Best video I found and it can at just the right time. I’m currently using a 2013 MacBook Air and I desperately need an upgrade. From my research this video has been the most useful and I have decided I will be purchasing the Acer Swift X for school and light gaming on the side. Thank you for the help.

Really glad you've discussed programming specifically, I already have a PC I'm happy with but am looking for a laptop to work on when I'm away, so it was nice to hear that specific query addressed. Great video!

You gained a subscriber right now by talking about laptops for tech professionals/developers. I just don't know why virtually no manufacturer targets those people, since there are a lot of them out there, they make above average money and are willing to spend money on good laptops. It seems like everyone is a "content creator" nowadays.

Now THIS is a laptop shopping guide, I was skeptical seeing that "ULTIMATE" guide label because everyone nowadays says that but this was truly comprehensive. Touched on all points and not just gaming. The Legion Slim 7 really seems like the perfect bang for my buck, fell a few hundred dollars short when I really needed a new laptop and settled for the Legion 5 personally, the screen is amazing the ryzen chip is perfect for my Software Dev needs and 3050Ti gets me some good performance in casual gaming, and the port selection handle my 3 screen setup (Laptop screen included) easily! Im just sad its not as portable for the times when I have be mobile so I think I'll definitely be getting the 7 later on

I am glad to see the Framework Laptop on this list. I really like the laptop and the company. I really respect what they are trying to do and hope that they will get the support needed to carry on with their objective. More than just the repairability and upgradability, the laptop itself looks like a great laptop.

Last year after watching your recommendation of the HP OMEN 15 I got one for under £1000 (1660 Ti, 8GB RAM upgraded to 16GB). It's serving me well in University (though as a Computer Science student I am finding that I would have liked a better aspect ratio) would highly recommend .

Cannot wait for your review of the Asus ProArt that comes out this year. The one with this OLED 3D screen. I wonder if it is good for 3d modelling.

Thank you very much for this video, as someone who is bad with technology, your videos were a great help for me. I got an Acer Swift X after watching your detailed breakdown of it and I'm in love with it so far. It has downsides, but you covered all of them in your video so when the wifi was acting up I knew how to tackle them despite being a tech noob.

Hi Josh. Great video!! Can you recommend longest battery life in actual use? I need >10hours. Casual use (browsing, office, a bit image editing -- but not video). Many thanks!
