The issue with the powertrain is that the previous one was grossly unreliable, so hopefully that one is much improved. Still not a fan of those very small turbo engines as they have shown to have a very limited lifespan compared to NA engines.

How long has it been since a compact SUV had a base price of $21K? The design is great, need some work in the rear though. Chevy did a nice job with the new Trax, IMHO.

It looks better at least, but to be fair, this literally had nowhere to go but up.

Awesome, a Chevy with a three cylinder! The value of that thing can only go up!

Good looking car for the price. At least it has a real 6 speed automatic and not a CVT. Too bad they don't offer something like a 1.6 or 2.0L on the higher trims but when your buying the lowest priced small SUV offered guess you just get what you get. If someone wants better pay more and buy a different car.

Probably good for 100k before it falls apart or the drivetrain grenades. Make sure to change the oil every 5k and baby the transmission. Great price though.

WHEN I win the lottery, Im gonna buy all of them, every model. every trim!

Well I'll be a bit more nuanced and say despite this being a meager transport module with it's, I suspect based on GM history, anemic motor and barely tolerable levels of NVH is a departure from the ever escalating pricing model that sends some similar sized SUV/CUV's into $40k to $50k territory.

I want to like it based on looks and price. However, I used to work for GM and know better.

Have a question for all the armchair automotive engineers - why would a turbo 3 be any less reliable than a turbo 4?

I saw one of these on the freeway the other day and didn’t know what it was. Maybe it was the trim, but it was really awkward from the rear. I also liked the first gen’s smaller size.

Remember folks when you think this is a “domestic brand” that these are made at GM Changwon in Korea.

No amount of corporate cheerleading can convince me to even consider this vehicle.

Does anyone know the statistics regarding turbo usage, what percentage of new ICE cars are turboed?
I assume very high, making me question big embossed ''TURBO'' decals on many cars. 1:23
