I feel like most people who feel like they need a chiropractor actually need a physical therapist

I went to a chiropractor once. After only one session, I’ve been completely pain-free from the neck down for years now. There’s a civil suit pending.

Totally agree - if you’re getting cracked but then not being helped with the root cause, then you’re being seen by the wrong person

My chiropractor rarely did any dramatic cracking. She used gentle adjustments along with acupressure and ultrasound machine and I got more permanent results. She fixed a shoulder I couldn’t move for 10 years.

"It's not what you've been told!" .... continues to tell me exactly what i've always been told.

The last bit is important. My chiropractor will start treatment by telling you that his part is about short term relief snd if you want a permanent fix, you need to do physical therapy. He’ll give you a list of exercises to do and will refer you to a physical therapist if needed.

Yup. Sometimes my chiro doesn't even manipulate. He gives me exercises and habits to practice, including my sleep position.

I have been under chiropractic care for years and after the pain killers and physical therapy ran their course and the medical doctors were out of answers it was a miracle.

Ok so….put in a another way…it’s a bone fart. I’m going home

A physiotherapist here - and I am so glad someone finally said it! Mostly people need exercises and postural correction instead of a temporary fix

Thank you very much.
I watch your videos and save them for future viewing.
I don't often comment, and it's the first time I do on your channel.
All your videos are good, informative, and helpful.
But this one is the one that could have saved me a lot of time and money before getting on the right path.
I guess I had to go through what I have gone through for a reason, and I am finally a lot better with all the psycho, physio, and massage therapy - in that order.

I saw a chiropractor, but she was more like a physical therapist really. She did adjustments, but after a few sessions, we were able to target that source of my lower back pain was actually tight muscles in my right leg pulling on my back.
The adjustments helped relieve the pain. The muscle work and dry needling helped lessen the tightness over time. Combined with stretches at home, a year of working through all of that relieved me of any pain and stiffness.
It's been over a year since I've gone and I'm still pain free. If my back starts to stiffen or I experience pain from a hard day of work, I do my stretches and have learned to pop my back for instant relief and the pain and stiffness go away. She said the goal was not to make sure I NEVER experience pain as I'm 41 and it happens, but rather, to make sure I recover quickly from it. That's no longer an issue. She was awesome.

I went to a chiropractor after a car accident and they had me do more physical therapy than cracking. They also had this bed that you lay on and a big roller inside would roll up and down it felt amazing.

As a physical therapist, gotta say I love and agree with your explanation and recommending retraining after, nice job✊🏽

That MRI video is the first time I've actually understood this concept. I always thought it was a compressive pop instead of pulling it out literally. Thank you

I always crack me joints if I feel uncomfortable or in pain in a certain area. It feels so good
mugibaboo
I'm glad you said that. My chiropractor gives me exercises and advice after my appointment to help me with any discomfort or pain he helped relieve.
babydahl
Amen, brother! I'm into combat sports and I've seen way too many people that claim they can fix you with some snaps of the joint. Training and re-educating your muscles is what you need.

Good info and good to know I went to a good chiro. She armed me with the right info and stated "my goal is to not see you for this back issue asap." If only other professions and products had the same philosophy.
