Joe Rogan recently came out with a viral video where he claimed 98% of chiropractic is BS.

In his conversation, he made quite a few great points. But, other parts of his opinion might be a little closer to fiction instead of fact.

Here are a few evidence-based thoughts regarding his comments.

I agree that Rogan was wrong on this one. It's actually 100%.

98% percent of the comments agree that chiropractic is bs

1:21 - I would disagree, a physical therapist is the best one to talk about ergonomics and core strengthening.

Your video perfectly reflects the bs chiropractors tell their patients, i watched this whole video and not once did you talk about how the practice can heal someone. That's what Joe was saying "tell me how pressing on my back is going to heal me". I don't think you have bad intentions but you did not convince anyone with this

Ortho surgeon here. Personally, I am appalled every time I hear a chiropractor referred to as a “doctor.” They are no more doctors than a yoga instructor… the difference is, yoga actually works.

The fact that you have to define yourself as "evidence based" speaks volumes of the industry, don't ya think?

I'm an MD. I talk about core strengthening exercises and stretches to maintain musculoskeletal health with EVERY patient that comes with back pain. I discuss it in a more general sense with every patient as part of maintaining healthy weight, posture, and bone health. This is standard practice among my colleagues as well.

And for the record, Physical Therapists are the best healthcare professionals to talk about those topics, not chiropractors.

Basically, 98% of chiropractors are scams. This guy is kinda right because he does mention core strengthening. But you will get better results at a physical therapist.

"evidence based chiropractor" oxymoron

I had a herniated disk, did what this guy said (go to chiropractor) I was then almost in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I had emergency back fusion surgery. Luckily I'm walking now.

As someone who got a permanent case of craniocervical instability (i.e. my upper neck ligaments are totally f*cked from neck adjustment), I affirm that it's not just BS, it's DANGEROUS! Dont let a chiropractor near your neck please! Too much important stuff up there to risk it with a barbaric trauma-inducing maneuver!

“Treated for over a year.” He wasn’t being treated he was being scammed.

Its amazing that you dont actually provide links to these journals that supposedly say chiropractic treatment is the bees knees. Especially with the label the evidence based chiropractor🤔

Love how he talks about these journals, but does not reference them in the description.

The founder was a magnetic healer who claimed to have cured a deaf person with chiropractic adjustments. That should tell you enough about this profession. The fact that they have the arrogance to call themselves doctors is laughable.

This guy called chiropractors “healthcare professionals” multiple times 😂

I don't think there will be a "next time" for Joe and chiropractors.

"...as well as working hand in hand every day with JOHN HOPKINS trained..."

This is where you lost me. There's absolutely no way you are educated and think it's not called JOHNS HOPKINS.

This video gave me even less confidence in Chiropractors.
