For those confused: elbows tucked in and being up right activates more triceps, leaning forward and flaring the elbows out activates more chest

The difference is the handles because the wider grip puts your shoulders in a more strenuous position. When he says tricep dip i believe he is on about a regular dip as he is bent over activating his chest. The wider grip i believe is for moving the dip handles out of the way for pull ups

Only lean forward if you try to hit the chest. Try to stay upright when you want to hit the triceps.

I’m 6 ft ( in trainers) and my dip bar at the gym is not high enough so I need to bed my knees to get a better dip

I am not convinced it makes a big difference, you are still doing the same work

when you doing dips for triceps you also gotta have your torso more upright, when you lean over like in the video you are getting more pec involvement

The difference is in the bars, a neutral shoulder position and a bit narrow grip grants a more tricep stimulus over chest stimulus

The more straight up you are, the more triceps get work. The more you lean foward with legs angled back, hits more the chest.

If triceps here is the target, notice the descension.
Keep your eyes on the tricep, at the bottom all stress is relieved. Then the tricep needs to "reactivate" going back up.
Cease descension when triceps are parallel with floor. Horizontal. If keeping tension on target muscle is the focus.

Right now being 215 for me i need to warm up before doing body weight dips or ill feel it in my elbows n shoulder 😂 i haven been slackin on em but i can do 8- 10 reps once i do warm up

I’ve heard try and lean back for triceps and lean more forward for chest / front delts

Start leaning. When you are close to failure, get a couple more reps in the straight position.
