One thing I feel like this episode could have done: Make Messi shorter in the alternate universe, since FC Barcelona was primarily behind his growth hormone treatment... but football doesn't exist in this universe... so...

This could be very well, a reference to the fact that Messi has been referred to as the very essence of football himself by many great players, coaches and fans throughout the world, meaning that he cannot simply exist in a universe where football does not exist!!
