CRASH BANDICOOT 4: IT'S ABOUT TIME - 20 Easter Eggs, Secrets & References

With the latest in the Crash Bandicoot series releasing last week, I thought I would take the time to check out some of the hidden Easter eggs & references in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. The Crash Bandicoot Easter eggs in this video mainly reference previous Crash games, so its perfect for fans of the Crash Bandicoot games!

There an easter egg in that all throughout the prehistoric level there is carvings of the elemental mask from the original crash 4 wrath of cortex. The most obvious one can be seen in one of the bonus stages

There's also a Flashback level called Bandicoot vs Wombat, which I believe is a reference to Naughty Dog's first mockup design for Crash, which was called Willy the Wombat.

Easter Egg:At the beginning of the game(the beach)you see a purple surf board with a strange mark on it, it to me looks identical to the mark from Crash of the Titans.(For those who don't know he got changed and looked a lot different, compare the simbol to the one found on his arm.)

I like how at 4:42, Crash turns around and drives up to Fake Crash like _"who tf are you?"_

The Wrath of Cortex masks, the Elementals can be seen carved throughout the Blast to the Past level. The small radio in N. Sanity Peak at the beach plays the original Crash Bandicoot theme. The flashback tapes use music from the original trilogy. In Crash Landed, the first set of boxes are arranged in the same pattern as the crates in Snow Go from Crash 2. The level's name is its self a reference to the canceled Crash Bandicoot game of the same name. In Cortex Castle there are portraits on the walls. On a couple of these portraits, Tiny Tiger can be found. The planet Bermugula was first mentioned by Nitros Oxide in CTR and is now a playable environment. Nitros Oxide also has a wife. The minecarts in Toxic Tunnels have Koala Kong's head on them. Willie the Wombat, the original Crash design is an unlockable skin for Crash, with Wanda the Wombat as an alternate skin for Coco. The stones in the water are the original rolling stones used in Crash 1. There is a poster of Megamix in one of the junkyard levels.

In the snow level, when you enter the cave, if you listen closely, you hear a nod to crash 2 snow go ost.

It skipped my mind until the last measure played and I pressed the capture button on the switch to get the past 30 sec. Of gameplay.

And luckily enough, that was enough time to get the entire theme. It's pretty cool! No pun intended.

I'm glad they threw that in there as a reference ^^

You missed a few Easter eggs.

In the Arctic levels you can see Penta Penguin frozen in a block of ice. And in the prehistoric levels you can see carvings of the Elemental Masks from Wrath of Cortex.

They missed the chance to have A bunch of Cocos yelling “YES” or maybe they used Yeah to censor it
