Honda complete redesigned the 2023 #Honda #HR-V, so let’s find out how it stacks up against its predecessor in the 2022 Honda HR-V and also let’s find out if the 2023 is worth the extra money! Honda made the 2023 HR-V longer, wider, #bigger overall, bigger engine, more horsepower, less fuels economy, bigger MSRP; do you think the 2023 is worth the extra money?!?

I liked the original shape of the H-RV because it was smaller Looking at how they've made it bigger and about the size of the original C-RV. I just wish they'd stop making cars bigger.

Just got my 2023 HRV Sport and it's much bigger than the old body style HRV's. I'm loving it, so far! Lots of upgraded features. Looks more similar to an MDX

Love my 2019 HRV I got last year. It had only 7, 000 one owner miles. Today it has 18, 135. I get 29.5 MPH average. works for me.

Great content. I just purchased the 2023, Honda HRV. Having said that for some reason I prefer the shape & style of the Honda HRV 2022. I appreciate your coverage of both cars. 👍🏾

New one would look so much better in a darker color rather than a white, it matches the smoked out taillights too

OMG the back seats don't go up? Are they crazy? That was one of the best features. I would not buy it even if it were cheaper than the older model. 😡

Have a 2017 love the size and get 38 mpg on highway. Magic seats are magic. Seems like the new model gets away from the small efficient design which I wanted. Unfortunate they didn’t introduce as a hybrid like they did in Europe.

Honestly, looking at them side by side, the new one doesn’t look better from the front. No fog lights on the new one? Makes it look cheaper than the 2022. Still a nice vehicle though.

That mpg is terrible on the 2023 for such a small vehicle.

The new model exterior design is more sedate (generic) than the outgoing model. I like the new interior except for not having the Fit derived "magic" back seats. The biggest change really is the increased size so it is not so much a "compact" SUV anymore. Wish Honda would just bring back the Element.

I was supposed to get a 2022 HR-V but they didn’t have any left and surprise I’m getting a 2023 model! I couldn’t be anymore excited. The new model looks fantastic and the features are awesome.

Great video. But first, I would like to mention that if you can get a foam wind guard for your mic, you would eliminate most of the wind noise for much improved audio quality.

The HR-V is an awesome car, especially in the Sport trim for the price.

I'll start with the 2022, referring to the Sport. It is a great upgrade from a Fit Sport. Overall I like it and was considering one for the price, styling, compact size, but having such cargo utility, especially with the versatility of the magic seats to carry tall items, even two bikes, and ease of loading stuff if there is a vehicle or wall, etc behind it. I like the smoke chrome on the grille like on the Accord Sport, the tinted windows on the rear doors and back, and the black wheels for the 2022. Also, the innovative cup holder design in the center console. Also, this is the one to get if you need the roof racks to carry bikes, kayaks, surboards, sorage bins and such.

Ot is still a great buy, especially now, if you are not swayed by the 2023 Sport.

One thing I wish it had, was the N/A 2.0L engine from the Civic Sport, but they did it better by puttingbit in the redesigned 2023 Sport. I aldo liked the simplicity with the more secure key ignition, no driver assist features, snd more reliable msnusl adjust seats, like the Civic Sport.

So when the new 2022 Civic came out, especially the Sport Hatchback, I was planning on getting that. But if I got a second car, I still would consider the 2022 HR-V Sport because of it's cargo utility for my music keyboards and other gear, Costco runs, and for hauling things to/from my storage units. And they are about the same price.

But though I really like the Civic Sport Hatchback, the 2023 HR-V Sport FWD at about the same price is a game changer. I like almost everything about it, but sad it doesn't have the Magic Seats to make the seat bottom cushions more comfortable.

Like the Sporty Euro styling of the Civic Sport Hatchback, this has the Euro DUV look at a lot more affordable price, and the reliability, dependability and longevity of the N/A 2.0L engine. K Tuner now has a tune for this engine to bring power kevels up to the non Si 1.5 turbo engine in the Civic Sport Touring Hatchback and Touring Sedan.

The foglights on the 2022 HR-V Sport is nice, but they are incandescent, not LED. The 2023 HR-V has none, but there always is the potentisl for aftermarket LED/Foglights to replace the stock panel like the have for the Civic Sport.

I believe it has the 8 speaker 180 watt stereo setup similar to the Civiv Sport that I can upgrade the speakers and amp to my favorite brand, Rockford Fosgate, or any of the others.

It's almost perfect for what I want and need with my usual add on OEM and aftermarket accessories and customization add ons, but not as much as I would be tempted to get on the Civic Sport, so I could use those resources for other things.

Wheel locks, weather and cargo mats, rear seatback ptotectors if the have them, legal smoke tint windows, nice metal license plate frame and clear covers, and gear and tools I would normally carry and consider necessary.

And yes, the headlights and taillights are very Acura inspired and derived. I like that color, and I believe Honda will have the other chrome emblems available in black to mstch the HR-V one, like they have for the Civic, which is what I would get, too.
