The Honda HR-V has been redesigned for 2023. More refined and fun to drive than the outgoing model, the new HR-V gets a sleek makeover with a low beltline, longer hood, and wider stance. Chassis and engine upgrades offer more power and sportier handling. Here’s a few key bullet points about the new HR-V

* The all-new 2023 HR-V has sleek new design, and a modern, roomy, and feature-rich interior.
*
* The new HR-V features improved performance from a larger engine and upgraded transmission, and a confident, refined AND fun-to-drive personality from a more sophisticated body and suspension design.
*
* Based on the Honda global modular architecture and incorporating elements of the CR-V and Civic, the new HR-V features a longer wheelbase and wider stance.
*
* HR-V is just the right size, sporty and personal with a more comfortable back seat and one of the largest cargo areas in its class.
*
* HR-V delivers class-leading safety and technology features such as standard Honda Sensing and front knee airbags, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay plus available wireless smartphone charging and a 9-inch color touchscreen.
*
* HR-V will grow in importance as a gateway to the Honda brand while also gaining aspirational qualities beyond its segment. HR-V is one of America’s most popular vehicles with young and first-time buyers, and multicultural customers.

Test drove one in canada had no issues with the engine acceleration. I wasn't expecting it to be a powerhouse. Drives very smooth and very responsive. Have a 2020 Civic sport touring and was impressed with how quiet this suv is in the cabin. Passed on the CRV back then as it was too noisy for me.

Kind of crazy that the CR-V gets better gas mileage than the HR-V.

Never mind not being fun, it's 13s to 60 is borderline dangerous.

The only reason I was thinking of getting an HR-V was for the magic seats (on previous model guess I'll go for the Mazda CX-30, instead. There is no excuse for not having a fold down arm rest in the back seat and no air vents on the top of the line trim model EX-L.

Here in the middle east, specifically Saudi Arabia, the Subaru Forester since 2016 comes with a 2.0 Liter FA20...non turbo.
not the FB25 like the 2015- and current US models.
So this HRV with AWD would be a great option for the wife as its bigger than the XV/crosstrek and smaller than a forester with just as much displacement. Plus it looks like a lambo Urus had a baby with a Mazda CX5

I feel like ppl overreact to things that are mostly irrelevant. Will a vehicle be reliable and be able to drive up to 200, 000 plus miles with the major issues? We all know Honda and Toyota are very reliable as long as you do your part.

I like how human beings complain about pushing a trunk down.

I am extremely disappointed by the new HRV. I wanted a subcompact hybrid with 45+mpg and AWD like they released in the UK. Instead they recreated the CR-V. It looks like everything else on the road. If I wanted bigger I'd buy a CR-V. This is stupid.

Whoever is Honda's designer, they are finally stepping it up. It looks nice!

I wish every reviewer for new cars would state their height at least. It makes a world of difference for tall people looking for new cars.

The 2.0L is now Honda’s most reliable 4 cylinder. The front wheel drive is likely quicker as it weighs less and has a bit better gas mileage.

Killed a small suv and increased to the size of a crv, what's the point

Folks complaining about cars being slow the HR-V isn’t a drag racer. So if folks aren’t looking for a drag racer, speed isn’t going to matter
2 ltr is more than enough to get from point A to Be fast enough

Test drove one yesterday and LOVED it, a bit concerned about the MPG, but...

The new HR-V is disappointing. I was hoping they would make a more fuel efficient vehicle, but instead they took a step backwards.

I was looking to get HR-V last year but it was a doozy for me when I tried merging on the highway. The interior is definitely a plus for me, but I bought the base Jetta model instead, because they had the manual and didn’t have a problem merging on the highway.

Hey Dave, you know I’m all about the RV park. Will you take the HR-V off road? And as always, great review.

I feel that Honda is afraid to take chances in most of their designs. They play it too safe, both inside and out. This is too ordinary for me, though I do like the color.
