No other YouTuber has figured out how to do vehicle comparisons as efficiently as both of you have. A very smart/tactical use of your content.

The CRV will always be for me. I'm on my third and getting ready to get the 6th generation 2023 CRV. I love them!

For a single person or a couple with no kids, HRV. For a family, CRV.

I'm single and love the HR-V EX-L. For me, it's all about the front seats. I seldom use the back seats and the cargo space is perfectly sized for my needs. Either of the two choices would have worked for me. Nice comparison.

The CRV has always been just out of my price range. So I have the HRV LX AWD base trim, and even as a base trim, this vehicle feels very luxurious and does not skimp in the necessary features. I am absolutely in love with this vehicle.

8:03 I’d like to add the CR-V has 2 rear USB-C ports *as an option for ~$100*

You forgot to add dealer markup fee to the price….
HRV is for, if you have 4 person family.
( 3 adults, back seat HR V is unreal)
Thanks for the hard work guys….

The HRV definitely needs a hybrid variant, because it’s gutless in its current form. Even with the 2.0 engine.

The HRV is good for its value even though its very underpowered for the base trims but its the biggest Compact SUV on the market its cheaper than the Kia and the Hyndai I would get it.

Hello gentlemen. Once again good comparison video. A compact size SUV vs a sub-compact size SUV. Between the new generation Honda CR-V and new generation Honda HR-V, I would choose the CR-V. It's more spacious, has better performance and has a more rugged stance. Two things these two vehicles have in common are a drastic change in overall design schematics and the increase in length. The new generation CR-V might be a compact version of the upcoming new generation Pilot or Passport and based on appearance the new generation HR-V is a sub-compact version of either the outgoing generation Acura MDX or new generation MDX. I think another point can be awarded to the CR-V for having dual exhaust and not single like what the HR-V has. Looking forward to seeing your review for the upcoming new generation Honda Pilot.

I put deposit down on HR-V Sport model. Looking at 2023 CR-V and comparing. For extra $5k in the CR-V you get more space (cubic feet), a sunroof, more powerful engine, different accessory options and a few different features like rear facing air vents in center compartment. A lot of the features are very similar, too similar for me to go for more expensive CR-V. The more powerful engine and bigger space in cubic feet for me isn't worth $5k difference. I can afford either but the HR-V sport also I think has more style than the CR-V.

This is legitimately the only YouTube channel that has a true 1:1 direct comparison between cars, bravo. Maybe not as exciting as typical flashy car YouTubers but this channel is far more truly influential on purchase decisions. I have no doubt you guys have much more real world influence than car YouTubers 10x your size

I like the front of the CRV but with the look of the back on the HRV.

I loved this video!!
I've owned a few Hondas(2006 Odyssey EXL, 2010 Pilot EXL, 2013 Pilot Touring, 2013 Accord Sport, 2013 CRV EXL w/Nav, and 2018 Accord EXL Hybrid), and still have our 2013 CRV. I have a sweet spot for Hondas- they're one of the few manufacturers that I end up getting emotionally attached to, like I am with Mercedes. From my point of view, I'm just happy to see how Honda is upping the overall quality of all their newer cars. No matter the vehicle or trim, you're getting a very good car. The new attention to detail is something that I also love because I'm very nit-picky with details and quality. The simple designs, but very specific and detailed trim is something that very few manufacturers do well, but I believe Honda, Mazda, and Porsche are doing it the best. I've driven every single car out of all manufacturers available in our market, and believe the HRV is a damn overall good new car from Honda. I've got 4 cars/SUVs with V8 or turbo V8s under the hood. I already have plenty of power. I'm looking for something that has an engine that last forever, and the K-series in the HRV is just that! The HRV is the perfect car for zipping around and taking care of business. It's not the car for you if you're power hungry, demand a perfectly quiet interior, or seek every single amenity imaginable. The CRV offers more of the creature comforts, and does it well, but at a higher price(naturally). I don't think reviewers give the HRV the proper credit it deserves when it comes to how good it handles. It feels great, and that's coming from someone who has Mercedes GLS550 and GLC300, Lexus LS460, and a Jaguar XJ8 among the few cars sitting in my driveway. I honestly believe the new HRV is the Japanese version of a small German SUV. It's not the most powerful, but it does everything very well in methodical moderations. Mazda is the closest rival to it in terms of overall quality and feel, but even that has a few things that I have gripes about. I put a deposit down for an HRV Sport because it is exactly what I need for the car I'm replacing, but I can easily see us getting the new CRV as well. I'm also eagerly waiting the release of the new Pilot/Passport- knowing how solid the current Pilot and Passport already feel, my expectations are a little high. I hope they don't mess it up!

Awesome comparison, the dash of both cars are identical, thank you for sharing that👍🏽👌🏾

A 5 decibel difference in noise makes one (CR-V) a pleasant road trip and the other (HR-V) an 'are we there yet?' experience. Money well spent IMO.

The CR-V may be better than the HR-V in many ways but the $35k asking price (before options and extras) seems to be approaching or within fun enthusiast-car category (I’m looking at GTI, BMW 2 Series, Ford Mustang, etc.). The HR-V on the other hand may lack in some key aspects (like a bit underpowered engine and mediocre MPG rating) but for around 30 grand, you already have a fully-loaded wagon-like crossover with nice interior materials, decent interior space and Honda’s driver-assist system as standard which is pretty good for those who are in a bit of a tight budget.

Personally, I’ll choose the HR-V as my budget daily driver/commuter car. Then my 5-6 grand savings will be allocated for my weekend fun enthusiast car. 👌🏼

Both vehicles offer good value, so it’s a no-brainer to choose either of them.

The HR-V looks sporty and smaller, Honda should have made it a performance vehicle and since Honda is a motor company, they should have created a unique powerful engine for it and as an option, offered a 6 speed manual.
