My husband was approved for ssdi 8 mo ago but we have never recieved any money or even the letter of how much you will receive...wehave called and called local office says no information is being handled in Washington meanwhile our home is in foreclosure..what can i do

Well here in Texas they're treating my ssdi back pay like ssi. They owed a whole year.

I received my back pay within a week "ssdi" not sure if it was because of covid 19 or what just happened to look at my checking account and it was in there

My son has been approved and just received his first lump sum of SSI back pay. The calculator shows the lump sum as six months worth of full maximum benefit. However, the monthly pay was reduced by one-third. Could that be an error on their part? The rent is $620 and the monthly benefit is $628.67 😞

I lived with someone while waiting on my exercise thank God they helped me and let me live here until I got paid although I told him will SSI says that they put me in as if I gained $300 a month so they only averaged $600 a month and so even though I had to pay later they said it was as if he was giving me $314, they figured my back pay on that he signed a paper showing what I do and what I'm paying will they just did with a give me back pay for

I got approved for SSI in va. I did my phone interview and was good but my doctor put a note in there that I might not be able to handle my finances so the gave me a payee to pay my bills and give me spending money. I mean I love them to pay my bills but I don’t need a mommy and I have to give them a cut. What can I do? I’m perfectly able to handle my own money but I was trying to just go along for now and see if this will be worth it but I’m hoping you have a idea. They never told me how much I’m going to get. I haven’t received anything since i got approved under title 2 disability retirement 9/2023. Supposedly my first back pay is scheduled this month. And my reg monthly is 3rd Wednesday of every month. Someone explain to me please how this works continuing on.

And then, if you had LTD, you have to pay them back with the lump sum money you just got from SSDI. Factor in the lawyers fees and workers comp offset and what are you left with?
