Agrarian Skies: Hardcore Quest Episode 70 - Complex Spell Digging

In this episode, I make myself a new tool to collect Dirt at hyper speed!

Agrarian Skies: Hardcore Quest is a Minecraft gamepak by Jadedcat, available on the Feed the Beast launcher. As the sole survivor of a cataclysm you must rebuild and repopulate the planet while defeating minions of darkness that leak through from the nether realms. You start with nothing, and must create an entire world's worth of materials to reboot your civilization.

Forget everything you know about Minecraft. This no mere modpack, but a full-on gamepack. No vanilla tools. Starvation is a real threat. Food needs that cannot be solved by planting three wheat. Try not to die in a new way to play from the depths of Jadedcat's twisted mind. This world might not want you dead, but it will giggle like mad if you die.

Buildcraft quarry- slow but good. Ender quarry- still slow, but better. Mentatquarry - super OP, and can mine the world in a day. Sounds about right to me! Excellent intro to Blood Magic spells. I know a lot of people have been wanting a taste of this for a while. Can't wait to see the new Minecraft series you choose! Great episode as always Purple!

And here I was thinking you weren't giving us an episode today! What a happy surprise!
The new blood magic spell system looks SICK! I haven't used spells from that one since back when you'd put obsidian or TNT or similar on an altar in front of a mob head, they've gotten WAY more elaborate since then! I used to have a contingency spell in my hot bar that would put up a little stone dome all around me with a glass block in the top. Useful for getting swarmed by infernal mobs and needing to wait for daytime haha. I'm thrilled that you enjoy blood magic as much as you do, I've been into that mod for a while and I'm loving seeing it gain more popularity. Whatever you do next, be sure to include that one!
As far as McAurey's goes I agree with what others have said. Do it, turn it in on cam. The dingy noise is fun, and it'll be worth it to be 100% and green in the whole book, for those of us with a touch of OCD. :)

Awesome episode. The spell system on Blood Magic is so cool, it's unbelievable that it isn't more popular. Even the simple spells are awesome. I have one to replace the air sigil, which makes you move a lot faster than the sigil (read dozens of chunks per second), one to make me blow up like a creeper with no block damage (which is awesome against swarming enemies) and one to strike lightning on the target, which is particularly badass. Again, awesome episode. :D

I really wish you had a good index of what episodes had which constructions.  I need to find the ones where you set up the automated alchemy, plus the elemental stuff to get the Archmage orb.  I keep searching, then watching the wrong episodes.

Youtube paired this ep with a stain remover ad for getting blood stains out. Sometimes their "related" stuff gets a bit creepy.
