My point in saying watch for other supplies that aren’t food that are being overlooked! When stores are closing many are selling their fixtures such as heavy duty shelves!
The previous owner had store fixtures in our laundry where we stash food on them! They have pegboard and I bough hooks and hand up items such as croutons and chips like a store display! They also allow me to store items such as water off the ground and heavy items like 50lbs bags of potatoes! They’re much more durable and are cheap because stores don’t have any use for them because other stores already have enough!

Many are for children that people aren’t being paid attention to! Toolsets! Filling those missing pieces that walked away!

Kids are doing Zoom classes which means that supplies normally provided by the school such as computer routers and more data, ( just a upgraded router system had to be bought because I work from home, two kiddos in class! Disabled adult who is using data for group talks in Google, guides, books specifically for teaching children with autism and other special needs, even computer equipment, toys and outdoor equipment are in shortage because kids are BORED!

Many parents buy bikes yet aren’t buying spare parts, activity books, coloring books, swing sets, saucer swings because many parks are closed too! Tools and replacement equipment like tire patches, bike pumps new seats, bike chains are all in shortage!

Bottled water stripped from shelves but Clear American water is back as is corn on the cob! Office Depot branch in my area is (much density for market) going out of business sale! 30%-50% discounts! Check for businesses that have too many branches in an area because they are consolidating to get rid of unproductive stores! I picked up high end paper like used for scrapbooking and resumes! Rulers for pennies and notebooks for school were priced lower than the before school sales! I got a scientific calculator normally about $100 for $17!

@Admiral Preparedness getting stuff is great but people shouldn’t forget you need them organized and stored properly!

Your story we just lived through! Seven year old autistic son broke it off inside his ear! The doctor looks and doesn’t see it then he flushed his and something blue green came out! Off to hospital where not only did it break off but was molding! We normally use them for makeup 💄 to dab mistakes and for art projects!

No corn is because the Derecho in Iowa took fifty... yes I said FIFTY PERCENT OF OUR CORN WAS WIPED OUT! Feed is now more expensive so animals that aren’t able to be supported with the higher prices of feed are being slaughtered! Long term corn, pork and beef are increasing accordingly!!!

6 dollars and change is a good price for 25 pounds of flour. I think I might have had to grab a bag or 4.

The only corn my Walmart had were in #10 cans and those a little smaller. Thought it was very strange that they were in with the regular cans. Haven't been to Sam's since the CV started. Waste of membership!!

This is totally random, but you sound so much like Burl Ives!

It hasn't been too bad with the fresh produce but once the local in season stuff is gone, it's gonna be empty in the northeast because there a shortage on canned goods, so people have been buying fresh and canning it, that's another thing that you ain't seeing around here is canning jars and lids, if you find them, it's like winning the lottery.
