Too bad they didn't bring up privilege. The bribery scandal is an example of privilege... it was only uncovered recently, in a connected world. You know how we complain about incompetent managers and bosses out there? Wanna bet some of those were on the receiving end of such deals? Even if it's not 'scandalous', having a family that's able to take care of itself means you'd be willing to take more risk, or even having parents that are good mentors to guide you (not all parents are good mentors) definitely helps.
