Life isnt pretty. Im 28 i cant remember what i loved to do at 16 except listening to music and painting...even now painting feels like a chore

I’m 16, I’ve always felt like public speaking and literature have been my calling. My literature is very often paired with philosophy and I only recently found out that the way I thought about life a couple years ago are the philosophies of some of the greatest philosophers to exist.
Although I have to be honest, when I didn’t get selected for my Interschool debate and essay competition i started to doubt all of it. I started to doubt if I was even “talented” in the first place.
