The heavy barrel was a requirement because the navy couldn't get in-and-out of a doorway without denting it...

So no price
No showing us how to install
And no difference in performance

Thanks for showing us much of nothing

You can definitely get the aluminum safety switch on-line. Get the high lever one. They’re a cinch to change.

I wish Mossberg would offer the metal trigger guard, safety, and thick walled barrel on the model without the hideous sights.

Better safety selecter was the first thing to switch out on mine got an aftermarket aluminum one with a raised tang supper easy to do just don't misplace the detent ball underneath it

I can understand the safety selector. But why not the trigger group? Removing and installing is part of routine/field stripping/cleaning.

If it were just the trigger housing and one had to assemble the whole trigger unit, sure. But the trigger group is plug and play

Mossberg is based in Connecticut as is Ruger. Connecticut is known for 2A infringements especially Chris Murphy. After Sandy Hook they took the lead in relentless gun laws. So my take is manufacturers’ lawyers recommend strict and extreme caution when distributing parts and accessories. I tried to order a Ruger magazine from their website and couldn’t because they would not ship to Connecticut and it’s a legal 10 round magazine which is all we are permitted to own here. And Ruger HQ is the next town over from where I live. Ridiculous.

ive got a 590A1 in 20gauge and just bought a 590 with that same wood furniture in this trigger pull on the new 590 is ridiculously heavy....im talking its hard to stay on target while pulling the took it back to the place i purchased it and they tried to say it was just part of the break in a literal gunsmith and the trigger pull shouldnt be part of the break in process like the way this one is of the first 5 rounds i had to take both hands to cycle the rounds, that i consider part of the break in process especially considering i havent had that issue the trigger is pissing me off, as i said i am a gunsmith but to buy a brand new shotgun and then have to take it home and basically rebuild the entire trigger group i think is just a bit any tips as to why this might be happening before i start breaking down the gun as i just bought it 2 days ago?

How much did the parts cost to upgrade?

What would be the cost to get this done? (Rough estimate)

So can any gunsmith order them for you?

I do like my Mossberg shotguns but I still don't quite understand why they do this Ruger 10-22 trigger assembly is for sale by many different companies. My first shotgun was a mossberg 20 gauge bolt action shotgun I have owned four of their pump shotguns and just bought a 590 18.5 " barrel all of them have been reliable I'm going to try out my new 590 I believe it will be a great shotgun like the rest .

This is not what I had hoped to see from my search terms and was in no way helpful.

Plenty of videos that show the whole breakdown of the gun, too late Mossberg, secondly it’s not difficult to figure that one out.

Greta video, poof its changed! Might as well have not done the video.

Well now I want to get those parts and replace them myself just because they don’t want me to.

I hate that about mossberg controlling the metal trigger guard. That’s just like John Deere putting controlled software on there equipment. The gun is not fully owned unless the purchaser can repair it. I believe it is a ploy to make money.

That’s bullshit! Can’t change a trigger group on a 590 but completely build an AR ?
