My partner had no idea he had ADHD until our daughter was diagnosed... and this explains so much. The Let Them Theory has helped me as the neurotypical.

This is exactly what i needed! My husband has audhd and i struggle managing healthy relationship dynamics with him. My in laws definitely fell into the trap of overparenting him, and my husband's self esteem definitely suffered. Learning about adhd, asd, and how that affects relationships has been crucial in building a more healthy dynamic where we are both fulfilled. A difficult road to navigate, especially when it feels like I'm being told I shouldnt expect much from him as a man or as an audhd individual. I refuse to be the one to clip his wings in that way. I want to believe he is a good and capable man, and I want to move in that belief. And some days I'm just so shocked seeing how far we've come. Its almost night and day. Its a lonely and tough road at times, but videos like these keep me going! Thank you!

I wish i saw this video sooner. I am in these dynamics right now with my ADHD partner. I over helped and became in the parental roll. It is really hard because we are at a point of resentment. We are starting couples therapy soon. I am trying to fight for our relationship, but it can feel so damn hard. I am trying to encourage him to gather a support system other than just myself. He thinks I'm being cruel... But I just don't know what to do. I feel like I failed him so much that he might be better off talking to other people who can be there in ways I can't. I feel awful about this.

This can be so so so so so destructive a dynamic to relationships. ❤🎉 Thank you for covering this! Not enough people talk about how relationships are complicated by ADHD.

Our home workload is about 85-15. It’s all me. My wife crushes candy all day for the endless dopamine hit.
