4K 60 FPS with 3000 bitrate by using av1 is insane. This quality is amazing!

can you use intel arc's gpu instead of nvenc av1 codec

Great video really helped me. I haven't found a comparison on YouTube that's as good as yours

That's a thumbs up first

It looks like there are some artifacts with AV1 that you don't have (or much less) with H265. I made the same observation on several other games after recording with the same settings for both encoders.

finally someone who cares about the no1 feature for me of nvidias..video encoding...why don't reviewers/youtubers even talk about NVENC and don't compare it in todays 4090 reviews
are we not in 2022 ? does not everyone and it's grandma stream or makes videos ? I don't get it when H265 was 1st released my current computer encoded 1080p at 5fps now with a 3090 I have 122fps I want to know what a 4090 does

बहुत सुन्दर प्रस्तुति, AV1 संकेतीकरण nvidia RTX 4000 श्रृंखला का बहुत ही उपयोगी विशेषता है।

Av1 is supposed to be more for streaming (Not yet implemented) but for me it was smoke to sell 4000 boards, now it turns out that Nvidia is working on hevc for the 5000, smoke, smoke, the 265 is much better, less bandwidth, better quality at a lower bitrate but The issue is You have to pay 0.99 euros to have this codec on a computer with Windows 11, for example, not all platforms have compatibility...

strange. h256 looks the best. But as far as i know AV1 is about 50% better ? That is why netflix is using it...

Não existe milagre más a percepção é quando vc aumenta o bitrate, no vídeo mostra 3.000, coloque 18.000 e equipare em resolução 4K.

I have a 4090+13900 PC. NVENC (h265) can reach 500fps when I'm encoding at 1080P resolution comparing to 30fps for x265 software encoding. Although x265 is superior at image quality but considering this level of encoding performance difference I really can't say NO to NVENC. BTW the NVENC h265 file achieved a 97.2 VMAF score, which is visually looseless.

Does 2x nvenc mean hevc stream gets divided between two encoders reducing the streaming latency to half? I use to locally stream my games to my TV. So, would buying an RTX 4070 Ti with 2x Nvenc help reduce the streaming latency to half?

YouTube has been using the H.264 video codec for many years because it is widely supported by devices and browsers, and provides good video quality while maintaining reasonable file sizes. However, H.265 (also known as HEVC) is a newer video codec that offers improved video quality and compression efficiency compared to H.264, which means it can produce smaller file sizes without sacrificing quality.

While H.265 is an attractive option for video compression, it has limited hardware and software support compared to H.264. This means that many devices and browsers may not be able to decode or play back H.265-encoded videos, which could lead to compatibility issues for viewers. Additionally, encoding videos using H.265 requires more processing power and time compared to H.264, which could increase costs for YouTube and video creators.

Therefore, YouTube has not yet switched to H.265 as its default codec, but it does support it for certain resolutions and frame rates. YouTube has also been testing AV1, another video codec that promises even better compression efficiency than H.265, but it is not yet widely supported by devices and browsers. Ultimately, the decision to use a particular video codec depends on several factors, including compatibility, video quality, and cost, and YouTube will likely continue to evaluate and adopt new codecs as they become more widely adopted.

doesnt h.265 half the bandwidth needed to stream? i bet its not the same with av1?

I don't remember x264 look like that.

H265 is better than Nvidia Nvench AV1 at fast action stuation. To Stream H265, You should have 13900K or AMD 7950X3D or 16 cores Threadripper.
