Percentage word problems with mental math

I solve two simple word problems involving percentages, using mental math. One is about taxes and the other is about discounts.

I'm literally crying over here because I just finally understood something I couldn't get from second grade onward. I definitely had learning disability that was overlooked but now I'm just in awe that math could have been this simple all along. Thank you so much for helping me up my math skills and become a more confident adult.
