Why Alienware doesn't perform well

as a mechanic in general tinkerer I use alienwared as an adjective because what they always do is take some 20-year-old case throw a bunch of plastic on it and then charge you two grand example Hummers are just alienwared S10 pickups

I bought 2 Alienware laptops for 3k$ each (me and my wife). Unironically 100% seriously it was the worst financial decision of my life.

Not to mention how hard it is to repair them. One of my friends has an alienware and there's so much random stuff inside, it makes it basically impossible to swap out parts or upgrade it over time. It's not just overpriced, it's also a bad investment.

Alienware costs so much because you literally have to finance it. I had one my dad took from me when I moved out. Had Ryzen 7 and 2080 super. What's funny is I now have an HP omen 25l that I paid 700 for and slapped a 3060 in and Ryzen 9 upgrade coming soon

Alienwares are just office dells in a new case. Dells are renowned for using cheap parts and cutting corners in assembly. There are soooo many better options than alienware today, dell has been using alienwares name recognition to push their crap out since 2006.

Yes this is completely true, all you need it to view a benchmark like 3D mark or something that tests specific parts of the pc and you can see a clear performance number which you can use to judge without even using it

As someone who has to deal with Dell on a regular basis for my job, that Alienware is worth about $500 once you factor in how bad Dell's quality control is and how hard they fight not to honor their warranty after they ship you something broken.

It’s a shame that Alienware struggles hard with cooling as other then that they’d be the best in pre-builds computing, especially for beginners or casuals who’d rather a pre-built as opposed to making one on their own where for inexperienced it can be a challenge.

the real way to find out how good a computer is, is if it can handle carter doing the thug shake at 8k 1200 FPS on a 520hz monitor
