I love how you don’t pretend to know what you’re talking about and give an honest answer that won’t confuse others thanks

I hate how people talk shit about Alienware and how expensive they are yet fail to mention every one of us that ends up getting one typically finds a sale and gets a laptop or desktop 700-1k plus on sale. They are expensive but are on sale every year and easy to find a steal on these products.

It’s been good to us. My partner got it during Covid they gave him 4k to buy a pc and it had to be from bestbuy, dell, apple and etc. This is when 3080s just came out so we had to buy prebuilt and yes it does become a heater but temps never go past 80c.

I have heard the newer ones are better due to airflow but eh we got it for free 🤷🏻‍♀️ 😂

It’s nice in the winter 💀

I have my Alienware laptop 17 R5 2018 going strong still. Which is why we went with Alienware 👀

Love my i9 4090 64GB 4TB Alienware beast. But I agree it’s pricy - I got mine during the back to school sale. Specs maxed out it was $3699 which is pretty damn good

To start I have an Alienware laptop and yes there are flaws with it. Do I like it absolutely and would continue to buy Alienware laptops.

What I like
-fast processing power
-doesn’t feel cheap
-easy to upgrade SSD/RAM and clean
-Warranty (premium which includes free repairs and 1 free replacement laptop for drops, spills, etc. a year which they send you) recently had my motherboard replaced for free in a day due to a simple faulty wire for the LED on the back)
-Dell comes to you to fix it at your house which I like since I don’t have to bring it anywhere or send it out and wait 5 days, some people don’t like this.
-overall a powerhouse and does draw attention so be cautious where you bring it.
-Great FPS on games that are demanding.

What I don’t mind about it
-heavy, yes these laptops are heavy but I don’t care. They are not made for simple work. Don’t complain about it being heavier than a MacBook because they aren’t designed for the same thing. Gaming laptops tend to be heavier depending on the types of parts they use
-Fans, yes they can be noisy at times but it’s tolerable and not exceptionally loud.

Cons
-depending on model cleaning can be difficult but once you get the hang of what you need to do it’s easier.
-can get hot but I never had issues where it over heated till it turned off.
-Known for having heat problems but personally never had issues and the support is very attentive to everything. Do not call dell call Alienware specifically or when you call dell explain it’s for Alienware.
-Can’t upgrade Graphics card or processor since certain laptop models the graphics card is non removable on the motherboard.

Games I have recently played on Ultra settings (Average FPS)

Helldivers 2- 95FPS
RD2-113FPS
Battlefield- 98FPS
Rocket League-300FPS
League of Legends-170FPS
Resident Evil-100FPS
Roller Coaster Tycoon-390FPS
GTA V-110FPS

Laptop- Alienware m15 R6 or R7 (don’t remember) VR ready

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
64GB Ram
2TB SSD
I7 processor

Overall a great laptop with some minor faults (I only had the motherboard replacement for the faulty wire which had no effect on anything even the LED lights. The wire was basically just lose and wouldn’t register properly when scanning hardware) I have had this laptop for 2 years and haven’t had any other issues.

That's beautiful the PC and the dog

The thing that you haven't mentioned is that Dell down-clocks the CPUs in order to keep it running cool and stable.
They run below advertised specs but you pay more than advertised price.

My biggest issue with Alienware from what I can remember is that they use proprietary parts (meaning they make specific parts for that computer), which eliminates the upgradability of the parts in the computer. Of course, if somebody just wants a gaming pc to play on, and doesn’t plan on opening it up, that doesn’t really matter. However, it’s still overpriced and all the issues listed in this video are still very true.

In all honestly, if you don’t wanna build one yourself, just pick up a pc from micro center, or if you want one from online go for skytech or msi. Those are my favorite.

A, very true B, doesn’t apply to me either cuz my dad bought it it was even my bday 💀💀 C, same as B D, it doesn’t have bad airflow mine doesn’t overheat considering I have an rtx 3090 and playing games like modern warefare 2, Fortnite, forza horizon 5, assets Cora’s, valorant, Microsoft flight sim at max graphics.

I repair computer and laptop for years now, safe to say, laptop and PC can run for a good 3 - 6 years of you change the thermal paste every 1, 5 year, deep clean it every 4 months, and optimize your hard drive every 1 year

Note: I bought my RTX3080 for $2500 with 16GB RAM and 1TB SDD, then two years later sold it back to Alienware for $969.00 with a trade-in for the new RTX4080. Dell will buy back if you upgrade. They even pay for the return.

Got a few alienware users coping pretty, hard. When you build your pc im sure youll find a whole new enjoyment about pcs and a sense of motivation to keep track of thermals to know its doing good and see that your hard work payed off. Youll know the system inside out and be able to troubleshoot even just slightly easier if something does happen.

So if you get a good deal on it, go for it! Everyone complains about the thermals, although it hasn't actually been an issue and you won't buy it again because PC builder snobs don't like em. Got it.

I got myself an R13 in the heat of the bitcoin mining craze. Some old lady bought it refurbished from Dell to show her friends her pictures from her camera but couldn’t figure it out 😅 so I scooped up a prebuilt with a 3070 and 13700KF for $1100. At that time and even now, it would be hard to buy those two components alone for that price and the PC still works fine. The worst part is having to clean it every 2-3 months.

Honestly i would buy it def better than my current pc, dont if its modifyable(lol ik its not aword)
