I used to make challah for the Synagogue I belonged to; it was an honor to get to make it. I also made cinnamon rolls with challah dough.

I've been making challah every week with since I'm like 5, my mother taught me to braid them when i was like 8, I can do now a 6 strand in my sleep!!

Egg wash it once before proofing, oil plastic wrap and cover while proofing and egg wash again before baking if you want a darker bake.

In Slovakia it's called "vianočka", it means christmas bread, so it is usually made for Christmas.
