👉 The plantar fascia is a tough, stretchy band of connective tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot, linking the heel bone to the toes.

👉 It plays a key role in supporting the foot's arch, absorbing shock, and aiding in movement stability.

👉 The hallmark symptom of plantar fasciitis is sharp or stabbing heel pain, particularly when taking the first steps in the morning or after extended periods of rest.

The plantar fascia, a crucial structure in the human foot, is a thick band of connective tissue that stretches along the bottom surface of the foot, connecting the heel bone (calcaneus) to the base of the toes. Its primary role is to support the arch of the foot and absorb shock during walking, running, and standing. The plantar fascia also helps maintain the foot's stability and assists in propelling the body forward during movement. This strong and flexible tissue is vital for maintaining proper foot mechanics and overall body balance.

Plantar fasciitis, on the other hand, is a common and often painful condition that occurs when the plantar fascia becomes inflamed or irritated. It typically manifests as sharp or stabbing heel pain, especially during the first steps after getting out of bed in the morning or after prolonged periods of rest. Plantar fasciitis can result from various factors, including overuse, improper footwear, high-impact activities, obesity, or even underlying biomechanical issues. People who are flat-footed or have high arches might be more susceptible to this condition due to the altered distribution of pressure on the plantar fascia.

No one seems to understand how bad the pain is. I have it in both feet and realised last week that I now walk on the outside of my foot to lessen the pain and have been doing so subconsciously for about a year now.

I think I've got this. It's just started out of the blue. I've heard of planters, but not much. I actually heard the word planters just before i woke up this morning.
