It is hard to stay positive, if you have been trying for years and going to school to improve going this way going that way and still nothing... I feel like I just keep chasing a carrot on a string that will never get caught lol!

The problem is that you can’t understand what the negatives are and how you grow because basically recruiters have basically fu*ked the recruitment process up and now the recruiters have taken their dirty techniques into talent acquisition roles. Pre-pandemic I was also in the top 10 of hiring designers at lead level, I can’t even get a mid weight role. Nearly 2 years unemployed, loss the house, the car, savings, credit cards maxed out and now surviving on food banks.

I graduated with a masters almost 7 months ago and have been applying for over 9 months. I have 0 idea what to do. I'm tired of investing in certifications, classes etc. I love learning but I feel like I'm shooting at blanks.

Ya... I honestly regret not actually taking it seriously of what I wanted to do with my life. I just went into health care on a whim, yes I ended up loving it, but now that I'm out of the field, I'm basically fucked.. I can't find work

It’s a year now I’m battling with my mental health and I have all the skills. I honestly believe it’s has to do with culture not on your experience and credentials. It’s demotivating and staying positive is difficult when you can’t enjoy a good life.

My brother in law applied for almost 30 jobs, failed most of the tech exams, he was getting depressed and ready to take a factory work, until an agent rang him and offered a business analyst role for 1 year. that was the opening that he was waiting for although stressful. When the role was about to end, he applied for jobs and sent his CV to more than 50 companies and agencies, failed most tech exams, but got 2 calling him. He had to choose the one closest to his home, and stayed with that company for a decade. He quit after that, jobless for 5 months, until he found 1 job and was offered the role with 6-figure salary, but he quit not long after because the job was too difficult for him, and found another job which paid less, and he quit again after 8 months. Now he's jobless once more and been applying to a couple of dozen roles but no luck...

Imagine being unemployed in a third-world country like Brazil in the poorest region and poorest state, with no opportunities where I live and no sewage treatment too. Now there's no water on the tap, thank God we have a water tank.

I’m coming up on a year of no job. I’ve applied to countless jobs and have heard nothing. I’ve lost my car and my home all I have left is my phone. I’m staying with a friend but I don’t think that’ll last much longer.

Also keep in mind you might not get hired for years. So start small business till that day comes. You're hiring yourself basically.
